Everything was delightful. The house is actually bigger than it seems from the photos. The sun hits the kitchen and warms the whole house pretty much. Feels very nice. The kitchen has everything to cook in, but there are also restaurants nearby and a good supermarket just around the corner. We found the best lamb sausages there... :) The rooms are good size, beds comfortable and shower with great pressure. A lovely place to stay long-term. It is within walking distance from the beach and a short drive from Katiki Point Lighthouse, where you can watch the seals. The internet was great for work. We would love to return and see the birds in the backyard. The hosts were very welcoming and took the time to come over to hand us the keys. Definitely, one of the best places we stayed in NZ.

Very friendly welcome. Made to fee right at home. Quiet, clean, plenty of space for veranda sitting, kitchen. Just a short drive from boulders and harbour and easy access to main road.

The unit was great. We also had a full kitchen for our use. Very clean and quiet even though it is next to the main road. We had a very good night's rest. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Gave us choices of milk for our morning coffee and offered me the use of the hair dryer before I even asked him. He also showed us where we could get food etc.

What a gem! The Bach was perfect, and in keeping with the era it was built. I wouldn't change a thing. It was clean, comfortable bed, everything you could want. Good instructions on how to turn everything on/off when arriving and leaving.What a great view to wake up to and a short walk to the river and beach. Next time, I'll stay a bit longer.
