Pet-friendly hotels and homes in Nyakabande

Everything was amazing! I can’t wait to go back to Kisoro. The whole family was amazing and treated me like I was one of them. On my last day, Andrew offered me a zip line at lake Mutanda and dropped me to the border. They are the kindest most thoughtful hosts I’ve come across. Wishing every host learns from them! Baby Also, David was the cutest little boy!

My stay at Nshongi camp was absolutely incredible, the best of my trip: The staff welcomed my warmly by upgrading me to a sublime room where the beds were very comfortable. Moses and the whole team go the extra mile to make you feel at home. They are extremely kind. In addition, the hotel is incredible: view of the forest where animals are visible (I observed colorful birds, monkeys, squirrels and a family of waterbucks), very comfortable (internet and hot shower and two steps from Rushaga Gate) and the food is delicious. I even extended my stay!

A wonderfull wiev over the lake. We did enjoy the atmosohere by the peacefull place. The food was tasty and healthy. We did prefere the local organic food which was made for us in the restaurant. Also the breakfest was splendid every morning. San was the chef who made tasty vegeterian food for us from local organig ingredients. Peace was the best ever as a waitress, as she was smiling and talking with us . The cottage we had was perfekt with the astonishing wy to the blue lake. We did watch the birds, the stars and we made a wonderfull boattrip on the lake. We had also a trip to a village of pygmis. At the last night we did see a flying star! Then we had the change to hope that we could come back here again! There was also time to make some jogapractising by own. We did read books. We did make meditation daily by ourselves. Also we had time to make watercoulourpainting by us selves of the landscapes. I tried to paint the landscapes which did very much remaind me of William Turners paintings Everything was organaised by a fantastic personal! We were kept so well that it felt almost like at home. The owner Edvard was so kind. He did organise everything for us. It was so nice to visite the pygmivillage and dance with them. Edvard took us to the border of Ruanda. He did help to get trough the formalities. Ores was the excellent guide on our boattrips! Ores took care of telling us how to behave at pygmivillage. He did also tell us very many stories about Uganda. Kampu was the expert to make campfire and drive the motorboat. He was always polite and helpful. Charkotte, the manager, was keeping everything in excellent hands. Always smiling and always helping in everything. With the experiencis of travelling more than hundred countries we do highly recommend this lovely gorgeous place Lake resort! We do both feel like new persons after spending four nights there!! Excellent location for gorilla trekking at the rushaga gate. Staff are lovely and you get a beautiful view to boot!

I loved everything! The lake! The people! The hosts are amazing souls! The food!

It’s a budget resort on a small island, but rooms are clean and staff is great. You won’t have flush in the toilets and electricity in the room (only available at the restaurant), Wi-Fi is unstable, but who cares - this is a place to chill for some day and disconnect. They prepare good food for a reasonable price (10-30k ugx) and help to arrange boat tours and other activities (a bit expensive).
