Great location in the center of old town, free parking just over the street. The host Mr Alexander is very friendly and helpful, exceptional in one word. We have got champagne and beer as welcome drink, next day some red wine for the room ... Room itself was clean, spacious and equipped with everything we needed. Breakfast was not indicated in the room price but for all that we had got some coffee, juice and cakes in the morning.

The best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The staff are incredibly warm and welcoming, always greeting you with a smile — something you truly appreciate after a five-hour journey. The rooms are stunning, with a magical atmosphere and a breathtaking view of the castle. Honestly, the price feels almost too low for what the hotel offers. You can also book tickets for both castles directly through them, and they’ll hand them to you the next morning — super convenient. They offer the possibility to dine at their restaurant as well. We arrived too late for dinner, but they still prepared a tasting platter for two with sausages, cured meats, cheese, cherry tomatoes, and plenty of their delicious homemade bread. We couldn’t even finish it! Breakfast was absolutely outstanding — calling it “complete” would be an understatement. All in all, highly recommended. If I had to point out a flaw, it would be the flies — they’re everywhere. But hey, we still haven’t figured out how to control insect minds, so…

Built in 1853 and right on the picturesque Fürstenweg, a small path leading to Neuschwanstein Castle, Gutshof zum Schluxen enjoys a quiet location in the middle of fields with grazing cows and horses, and Queen Marie von Bayern stayed here with her sons Ludwig and Otto. Füssen and Reutte are only a 10-minute drive away. We traveled with 3 adults and two young kids to Nueschwanstein Castle, and this was the PERFECT accommodation. It is not shown in the pictures, but there is a great play room with tons of toys for kids, ping pong tables, tables to eat etc. They had pizzas and food for purchase, and fresh rolls in the morning. We were also delighted with the sauna that was very clean and heated up quickly. There were many animals on property that our children loved (30 horses, pigs, chickens, ducks etc) Would recommend this place completely! Wish we stayed longer! The hosts were so kind and helpful

Fantastic apartment, Stunning mountain views,there is a lot to in this area with castles and activities, but above all a very warm and welcoming owner. She managed to communicate all the necessary information about the apartment and area to us despite us not being able to speak a word of Austrian. Her son was on hand if needed as he spoke good English. She even gave us a parting gift of some local delicacies.
