From the moment we arrived, Daisy, the heart and soul of this place and the rest of the staff welcomed us with a warmth that went far beyond hospitality. Their care and attention to detail made us feel not just accommodated, but genuinely looked after. At times, we’d find ourselves chatting with the other family members and staff, sharing stories, or picking fresh fruit right from the trees in the garden. Each of us had our own cabin, and they were just what we needed spacious , comfortable, and open to the lush surroundings. The sounds of the ocean and the songs of the birds drifted in naturally. We especially loved reading in the hammocks just outside the cabins on the balconies, swaying gently in the afternoon breeze. The location is also perfect, just a stone’s throw from the beach, and close enough to town that we could walk in for lunch or dinner, but far enough that it still felt like a world of its own. Like being in a town away from the town. Our stay at Cabañas Iracas del Mar was more than just a holiday it felt like a journey into the heart of Nuquí’s natural beauty and the deep, quiet generosity of its people. If you’re looking for a place that offers both solitude and connection, peaceful rest and enriching excursions, this is a destination that truly has it all.

If you are looking for somewhere secluded but not to far from Nuqui this is perfect. The owners are amazing hosts who will make sure to give you all the right information. Situated in El Valle, 2.2 km from Playa El Almejal, TORTUGA BAY Eco Hotel features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a private beach area and a terrace. With a restaurant, the property also has a bar. The accommodation provides a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, room service and free WiFi. We did a tour to Utria National park. My expectation was entering the jungle with a nature guide to look for local animals. Instead we went on a beach tour. So be sure you explaine correctly what you expect to get the right tour. The other morning we went alone on a little path behind the hotel and managed to see a group of monkeys. So there are wild animals around. For the locals they are just so normal, they don't mention them. Among the local birds are also eagles. Same thing, locals won't mention them as special, as the are regularly seen.

Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. One of the best hostels I have stayed at in Colombia! The location is spectacular and on the beach. I enjoyed my morning walking along the shore. The breakfasts are my favorite meal of the day, they are different every morning and the cooks are creative with the food types and tons of flavor. So many great tours offered. We did the whale watching tour and the baby turtle release. Both were amazing and unforgettable. The staff is super friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The public kitchen was great for making meals. H ighly recommended overall.

We spent many hours with our hosts being shown around, cooked for, and transported to different places on their boat. It felt like a very authentic and local experience and we were able to learn a lot about the people, history and culture of Arusí. The posada was beautifully set up and very comfortable. Thank you for an unforgettable experience.
