The pool looked wonderful, but a little too cold for a swim.

Situated in the lively Saint Nicolas district in La Rochelle, this hotel is surrounded by antique dealers, bars and cafés. It offers free Wi-Fi and a conservatory with large sofas and tropical plants.

The air-conditioned guest rooms each have a flat-screen TV with canal+ and satellite channels. This hotel is in a terrific location, in the old part of town right near all the city attractions. We had a great time walking around. There was one event where we needed to take a bus, but everything else was within walking distance. The room was clean and cozy. The bar and restaurant were pleasant and comfortable. Liked the boutique bespoke layout of the room, including the walk-in shower.

Set in Limalonges, in a historic building, 18 km from The Cormenier, Nana Mac Chambre D'hôtes is a bed and breakfast with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and garden. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. Guests can make use of the sun terrace or the picnic area, or enjoy views of the garden and inner courtyard. The hosts are lovely and eager to please, but they area also relatively new to hosting guests as well as relatively new to France. They kindly brought tea to my room in the evening, and a lovely continental breakfast in the morning.

Set in Saint-Georges-dʼOléron, 6.7 km from Fort Boyard, Hôtel Bar Restaurant La Marie Galante offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. Guests can enjoy French and Pizza dishes at the restaurant or have a cocktail at the bar. Lovely clean room and friendly staff. They were very welcoming and kind. Good breakfast. Perfect place for a lone traveller to explore the area.

Excellent accomodation! Everything was immaculately clean. The hosts were delightful. Wifi was fast. Bed was comfy. Shower was hot and refreshing. Kitchen had all the amenities. One of the best we've stayed at! We look forward to returning. :)

Great takeaway pizza only minutes away, comfortable outdoor and indoor dining areas at the house. Comfortable beds.

Situated 200 metres from Grande Conche Beach, Résidence Odalys L'Orée du Parc offers accommodation with a balcony, as well as a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and an indoor pool. It is set 40 km from Saintes Train Station and features a lift. Private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. We loved the lovely, spacious apartment. Everything we needed was available to cook meals.
