The location of Leenane Hotel makes it an excellent base for exploring Connemara. The facilities include a bar, a spacious restaurant and a private resident’s lounge. I live in the area and have enjoyed dinner here before, but stayed for a number of nights recently due to service failures at my residence during Storm Bert. The hotel is lovely and comfortable; especially the residents’ lounge. The staff are stellar and made our stay as welcoming and comfortable as possible. Will stay again just for fun.

Breakfast was excellent. Once acclimated the location proved excellent.. A comfortable drive to Kylemore Abbey and Ashford Castle. A nice and affordable golf course nearby and and a beautiful lake for boating and fishing just down the street. Also a boxing club and football club in town. The town of Oughterard had a few nice Pub's and a grocery that was well stocked. Our host Christian was great and his new puppy Emily couldn't be more adorable

The spacious bedrooms in this 19th-century country house feature countryside views and antique furnishings. The Cashel house is in a beautiful remote location and in a very quiet private area. The house has this old charm and at the same time nicely updated modern rooms. We got aa free upgrade and really enjoyed our stay at the Cashel House!

The Ardagh Hotel & Restaurant is located on the constantly changing Ardbear Bay, 2.5 km from the lively town of Clifden, known as the Capital of Connemara. I really appreciated being able to bring my dog and have her be welcome indoors. The food was exceptional. The staff were unfailingly polite and helpful. The environment was calm and serene. The setting is gorgeous.

We celebrated my 60th birthday with 13 friends from all over the United States. We all stayed within Clifden town and enjoyed a night all together on the beautiful deck. Loved the location and kitchen/deck space. So convenient to all the shops, pubs, restaurants, and grocery store. Gerard was wonderful to work with- friendly and very responsive. It is an older home which some might not like but we loved it and would come back time and again.

Hardly did it justice just being there for two days with three of us, but the house and the area around it are really nice! Lovely beaches and loads to see and do!
