This was not my first trip to Lourdes and I found the destination to be rather pricy. Food is terribly expensive, like a portion of dessert is 9e. The destination only offers the religious aspect unless you leave Lourdes to visit the mountains. The Marian Sanctuary has many ongoing events but one needs to organise oneself, because 100s of people are there.Guest review byCynthiaMalta - 6.0

If you’re into shopping and chic brands then it’s worth a stop. Otherwise very crowded and lots of traffic and air quality was not very good as the place is located in a basin between mountains. Lots of traffic, crowded streets and bad air was the perfect reason for me to get out of the place after one just night!Guest review byAnonymous - 10

We always stop overnight in Jaca whilst driving from Spain to the UK or visa versa as it is just off the motorway and has all the amenities you would need and is a lively, friendly place and the hotels are of a very high standard at a very good price.Guest review byTechno OrangeUnited Kingdom - 10

Vielha is located in the center of the Vall d'Aran: one of the most wonderful mountain regions in the area. It is very beautiful, no matter the season. Staying in Vielha allows convenient access to a lot of hikes, and is a good base for skying. Additionally, it has a lot of life and shops.Guest review byRogerSweden - 10

Town and surroundings are well worth visit as well as tour round the spectacular reservoir lake down to TorreCiudad then maybe make it round trip uo the other side via Gnaus. The meal had in Ainsa at Dos Rios was great value as well as good quality. Nice friendly place laid back good base to explore the area.Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom - 10

Closest to the spectacular National Park of "Ordesa y Monte Perdido". This Park can compete with the best National Parks in the U.S.A. and China. Torla is a cute village and Broto with its cascade is close. You can also visit AINSA, one of the most beautiful villages of Spain and the Añisclo Canyon, with its microclimate and liquenes. Do not forget to visit also other glacier valleys in the area, outside the Park. The Park has a limit to the number of visitors per day and in the weekend the Guards of the Park may block the access if there are too many visitors.Guest review byPeterFrance - 8.0
A pretty little town surrounded by the Spanish mountains.
A pretty little town surrounded by the Spanish mountains. Lots of little lanes with shops to explore. A market square with a market on a Sunday. Some nice bars and restaurants and tons of outdoor activity shops, to buy and or hire all manner of equipment.Guest review byStuartUnited Kingdom - 10

I was there for the World MTB championships and the organisation for getting to and from the bike park was excellent. There were plenty of buses available to the gondola to access the bike park. I also had a days hiking where I found the route very well sign posted with paths and bridges well kept.Guest review byTracyUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Good ski domain and easy access to the slopes.
Good ski domain and easy access to the slopes. Well managed ski slopes and helpful welcoming people all around. The only issue is the noisy nature of the town with a lot of drunk people shouting at night. The smell of joints is also very common everywhere, including on the chair lifts, almost as common as in Amsterdam before the change of rules. This should be better managed as I had not noticed this when I came 8 years ago. Shopping is limited if you don’t want cigarettes, alcohol, make up. A lot less options than a few years ago. Found lots of good restaurants with a wide variety of food options at reasonable value. Overall, a good base for skiing but with compromises.Guest review bycarolineUnited Kingdom - 10
Religious touristy to the max.
Religious touristy to the max. But, honestly- isn’t that why you go there? Quaint French town, easily walkable. Many fine eating places: particularly recommend the Asian/Filipino Restaurant. Need taxi for airport/train.Guest review bySteven D. HobbsUnited States
