Not glam hotel but has it's charm of one of the old Ajman hotel. Beach is not for kids but it does have good kids zone. Wi-fi everywhere, reception helped print lots of stuff I needed for some business meetings. Breakfasts are good enough to not eat whole day, shops across the road to buy something for the fridge. Lots of taxis around, faster than I was waiting in Sheraton. Standard room can fit 3 single beds easily. Great camp with the BEST staff.
Great camp with the BEST staff. They tend to your needs around the clock. My only drawback is the restroom situation. The toilet and shower is in one very small stall. Had to hang change of clothes in different stall to keep the shower from wetting them. Another drawback is COLD showers. No hot water at all even after letting it run for some time. My husband caught a slight cold because the desert gets cool in the evening, and the walk back to the tent from the cold shower did him in. Also on my booking confirmation , it said there would be a bidet in the tent. There was not one, but I think that is best. Not mad about that at all. On a good note, we really enjoyed the dishes we were served with such great variety. The entertainment was nice. We booked for two nights, but one night is more than enough. Umm Al Quwain is a very quite and peaceful emirate. Its a perfect place to take a break from the busy life of the city. We visited mall of UAQ. The lulu hypermarket there will cater to all our needs. Nice and peaceful city, has everything as per necessities. Loved the sea, they have Starbucks, Hardees, KFC, McDonald's etc, what else could you wish for. Definitely, a great place to visit and Flamingo Beach & Resort is highly recommended. Super laid back town, with a massive, well-equipped beach and plenty of new attractions to make it more pleasant. A new "old souq" that looks quaint and has good shops and restaurants is one of the main attractions for local families. The beach is huge and full of amenities, for adults and kids.
