- From US$1,150 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 322 reviewsWe stayed for 8 nights in 3 different rooms and loved absolutely everything. People! The nicest and most helpful staff. Huge thanks to Kris and Maria for making our trip so memorable and relaxing. Location. The hotel is located on the west side of the island at the Caribbean Sea. This is a better option as the sea is not as rough as the ocean, especially when it is windy, and has fantastic clear water. The hotel is on a small rock/hill by the water and sunset views are absolutely amazing. Beaches. There are two really nice beaches near the hotel: Valley Church Bay and Jolly Beach. We preferred the one at the Valley Church Bay. There are sunbeds only for Cocos residents. Alternatively, you can stay at the hotel grill bar right next to the beach as it offers some nice shade during the afternoon. This side has a lot of sun in general, so if you like a bit more shade the part of the Jolly Beach on the other side has a cute little lagoon, also for hotel residents only, and is a more calm option. Food/Drinks. There is a main restaurant next to the reception. They offer a la carte menu for breakfast, lunch, dinner - our favourites were Caribbean flavours for meat and seafood. The bar next to it is the area to socialise in the evening after dinner with some nice live music (which is different every day). Cocktails are great - our favourite was the rum punch with angostura bitters and nutmeg. The bar on Valley Church side is open in the afternoon (until around 5:30pm) and offers great grill food like burgers, sandwiches, hot dogs - our favourite was quesadilla with shrimps. There is a draft lager beer (great in the sun) and of course cocktails, they do a cocktail of the day, which is fun. There is a tiny bar next to the Jolly beach as well - it is a good option to pick up a drink after a boat ride or a diving session as this is where boats usually pick you up from and where they usually drop you off.Guest review byAndreyUnited Kingdom
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 300 reviewsWe had a wonderful stay at Cocobay Resort. The property is truly beautiful — it overlooks two stunning beaches, and the garden is lush and immaculately maintained. The rooms are simple yet charming and very comfortable, with one of the most comfortable mattresses I’ve ever slept on. A special thank you to Kem for the warm welcome and thoughtful care throughout our stay, and to Ives, who was incredibly helpful and supportive upon our arrival. Their kindness really made a difference. The food was a pleasant surprise: contrary to some of the reviews we had read, we found it well-prepared and enjoyable. As an Italian, I can say the meals were above expectations — especially breakfast, which was excellent. Hats off to the chef for the perfect scrambled eggs every morning! The location is ideal — central enough to explore the island easily, and with postcard-worthy views in every direction. Another thing we appreciated was the general atmosphere at the resort: it’s well frequented, with lovely, respectful guests, which added to the sense of peace and quality time. The staff is generally friendly and helpful, and the overall energy is relaxed and welcoming. One little note — and I say this with a smile — the Friday night “pizza” is something else entirely. But hey, I’m Italian… I might be a little picky on that front! 😄 All in all, a fantastic experience, and we would absolutely recommend Cocobay Resort for a peaceful, beautiful, and well-managed Antiguan escape.Guest review byGiovanniItaly
- From US$655 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 119 reviewsBeautiful resort located next to one of the best beaches on the island. Beach is never crowded and have enough towels, umbrellas and sunbeds for guests. Drinks and food from the bar menu are served at the beach. All suites and villas are more/less on the hill but the view compensates for the climbing effort. Our suite was well furnished, clean, with the stunning sea view. We liked the food in Wilde Tamarind restorant, menu was not extensive but meals were tasty and well presented, on couple of days and evenings they offered special menu. We also loved the view from the breakfast restaurant ( and breakfast options). Staff was positive and responsive to our requests, on occassion we had to wait a bit longer to be served but that did not bother us. It was easy to organise tours to different parts of the island, resort is 7mins drive to Jolly Harbour, 20mins to Fig Tree Drive and 30-40mins to Shirley Lookout, English Harbour, St. John's. Overall atmosphere throughout resort is very calm and relaxing, 100% to our taste.Guest review byNataliSerbia
- From US$111.15 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.4Good - What previous guests thought, 62 reviewsEVERYTHING was perfect!!! We had the best time here at south coast horizon. Our room was very nice with a big terrace where we had all our breakfasts. If you are an animal lover, you might enjoy the company of a very precious cat named Nala, an orange cat very cute and friendly. Overall, we had a great experience, and we hope to come back to Antigua and the South Coast horizon soon. There are stunning beaches nearby too, our favourite is 3 min car close named Morris bay where you can also snorkel and get a delicious grilled chicken for lunch. South Coast Horizon also has a nice pool we chilled at one afternoon, and we saw a beautiful sunset. The room had AC, and the bed was very comfortable. The cleaning was perfect and we loved each second of our holiday and stay. Thank you. Finally they organise very nice tours! We really liked Nala, the orange cat. If you can, take care of Nala with some food and treats ❤️❤️❤️Guest review byLaviniarognoneUnited Kingdom
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.3Good - What previous guests thought, 92 reviewsFantastic. Amazing facilities, lovely food, kind staff, beautiful scenery, 10/10. We are here in the low season (July) so it's pretty quiet and not all the facilities are open, but it means there are no queues and nothing ever feels busy. The beaches are beautiful, the array of watersports is really generous, even though it's low season - the kids went kayaking and peddle boating, and Ken took us out on the Hobiecat a couple of times, which was a lot of fun. Pools are beautifully kept and a lovely temperature, and the kids particularly love the smoothies from the poolside bars. The buffet breakfasts and dinners are always high quality with good variation, then the a la carte lunches are things like nachos, sandwiches and fries, plus a salad buffet. All the staff are so kind and friendly, they really go out of their way to make you feel welcome, it's wonderful.Guest review byKateUnited Kingdom
- From US$415.54 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 106 reviewsIncredible resort on a white sand beach, infinity pools, including a private island offshore, beautiful gardens to wander. the property is full of interesting artwork that sets a theme of intrigue and wonder as you walk around the property. There are all sorts of rooms to choose from a standard room to fully equiped apartments with multiple bedrooms. The breakfast is excellent and generous and the restaurant has a high quality menu really great food. There was nothing we didn't like here, the staff are friendly and helpful. We were very lucky to see turtles hatching from their nest here on the beach.Guest review bytamraAustralia
- From US$642 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 150 reviewsWe were in one of the end secluded beach front properties. It was absolutely perfect. Shaded and secluded. If you like more interaction with other guests then the garden rooms or newer beach front rooms on the other end which were nice also would provide that. Outdoor shower and plunge pool were amazing. Staff was friendly. Not fast but it’s island life.Guest review byJerryUnited States

I love the Ocean view from my room, love the Oxstail dinner...
I love the Ocean view from my room, love the Oxstail dinner from the Jamaican restaurant, love the Pool, and love how a couple of the staff was so wonderful and caring towards the guest. One staff stood out, Jenin, she really made our trip to not be a total lost. The excursion was nice, Flava was very knowledgeable and the lunch prepared was great. I love my housekeeper, she really did a great job in keeping the room clean. My bed Sheets had stains when I got there, the Curtains to the Balcony had blood stains on it, the housekeeper, Yeraldan changes the sheets before I could ask her to. That was on point. I do not like how most of the Hotel staff was rude, unfriendly, and unprofessional, they needed some training on how to talk to and care for your guest. I do not like how you were assigned a Butler but did not get the help you requested from your Butler, not one visit to the room, it sounds nice but there were not one there for you. We got a pre written WhatsApp's message, once in the morning and one at night. I did not like the quality of the food, not good at all and not enough variety, did not like that they ran out of beach towels around 5:30 pm when I wanted to go to the beach. Even thought the Birds are wonderful to see, I definitely did not like the Birds flying and landing on the Table while you eat your meal trying to get them something to eat, also they landed on the utensils before guest comes in to eat. Not good at all. Overall, I could have made the food work, and everything else, but the behavior of the staff was unbelievable and unacceptable. Never again and if your Hotel does not train your staff, you could loose out on guest coming to your property.Guest review byAngelaUnited States - 10.0
4 beaches and a pool to choose from.
4 beaches and a pool to choose from. Great menu all day at the buffet. No crowding. Friendly staff. Beautiful views. Snorkeling and water sports options available but you may want to bring your personal snorkel gear as the resort's equipment may need to be updated. Only one beer option on drinks list.Guest review byRudyTrinidad and Tobago - 8.0

The pillows were to hard. There should be a coffee pot in the room. The toilet in my room was very uncomfortable. Floor drainage in hall was very poor. The meals were great. The staff was very friendly,A+Guest review byAnonymousUnited States - 10.0
Excellent location with great sunbathing swimming options.
Excellent location with great sunbathing swimming options. You can watch the pelicans swooping and diving all day. Super chalets with very comfy beds. Plunge pool a lovely option for a refreshing dip. Wonderful staff and lovely dining. Food options varied and catered to all needs. I really had no complaints - it’s fantastic value for money.Guest review byCharlotteUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Super!
Super! We stayed in the heart of the historic Nelson’s Dockyard, really interesting, lovely old buildings, surrounded by the sea and yachts. We walked to Pigeon Point beach and spent the day at Cathrine’s cafe. We hired sunbeds and had drinks and lunch. Food excellent. We ate dinner at the Admiral’s Inn on a waterside table which was lovely. Food and service very good in beautiful surroundings. We did the Shirley Heights Sunday party, which was initially a bit overwhelming, crowded, noisy and smoky with huge queues for food and drink, but once we got the measure of it, had a great time. The sunset and view was amazing, the band were excellent and when we eventually got food (late after the crowds) it was good.Guest review byTeresaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The harbour is in a very beautiful position . very yachty and probably more of interest to people who love to see boats or who are joining a boat or on a boat. There is a nice beach Jolly Beach close by. THere is a well stocked supermarket but be warned Antigua prices are more expensive than either British or American prices as the island has to import almost everything. There is a new reosrt being built by Jolly Harbour and I believe the mall is going to be rebuilt too. Lots of nice restaurants in the locality. There is also a local bus service to St John's and it's easy to get a taxiGuest review byjasmine claydenUnited Kingdom - 10.0
The place was absolutely beautiful and peaceful.
The place was absolutely beautiful and peaceful. The scenery is stunning, and everything inside is new & fully renovated. It’s tucked away up a very steep hill, which makes for incredible views and a real sense of privacy. As a single female traveler, i felt safe. The host met me to show me how to get in and she was very nice! The perfect place to unwind, connect with nature, and take it all in. Highly recommended. Everything was as described in the listing!Guest review byJasmineUnited States - 10.0

I went to Antigua for the carnival season. The house is in the perfect place for you to just walk to town. If you are driving it is no more than a five minute drive. Such a great location making everything so accessible.Guest review byHelénaUnited Kingdom - 6.0
I didn't enjoy our trip to St John's.
I didn't enjoy our trip to St John's. There is nothing to do or see and everything is ridiculously expensive. Asked for a Caribbean restaurant and was told to go to "Hemingway's" and the offer was of burgers and salads, so never got to taste anything really local or typical. Were asked if we wanted a taxi every 2 minutes but people were very nice. Basically the town is built for folks who arrive on the big cruise ships to spend money for a few hours but no characterGuest review byDulceIreland
