Very satisfied! I will definitely come back! The stay at Villas Palma was fantastic! The villa was very clean, comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. The location is perfect – just 5 minutes away from everything we were interested in. The hospitality was excellent and everything went wonderfully. We are extremely satisfied with everything at this hotel. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The location was convenient and peaceful. The staff was incredibly friendly, kind, and helpful. We arrived very late at night, and the main receptionist was waiting for us at the front desk to check us in – we were truly impressed by his hospitality. The next morning, we struggled to wake up after a short night, but to our surprise, they had prepared a separate breakfast for us, without us even asking. They also helped us with car rental, which made everything even more convenient. It’s rare to experience such a high level of care and service. Highly recommended – we would definitely stay here again!

I booked Grand Duka Hotel & SPA for a work trip and ended up enjoying every part of it. The staff were warm and welcoming from the first moment, helping me settle in after a long drive. My room was spotlessly clean, with a super comfortable bed and a calm, elegant style that felt much more luxurious than I expected. Between meetings, I managed to try the spa, sauna, and gym, and all were beautifully maintained and easy to access. The breakfast was fantastic, with plenty of local and international choices, and I even treated myself to dinner one night at the atrium restaurant, which was surprisingly good for a hotel restaurant. What really stood out was how peaceful the hotel felt even though it’s right in the center of Durrës. You’re close to everything but can still truly relax. I’d absolutely stay here again, business or not.

    Know where you are going and evaluate it accordingly! Durres is a city that is developing at a rapid pace, including the coast, the port and the city. The coastal promenade began to be transformed in 2022 and it turned out beautifully! It has one shortcoming, there is no garbage collector anywhere by the sidewalk, despite this, there is no garbage anywhere. Along the coast, you can still see the buildings left from the 19th century fishing village, some of them are still inhabited (!), in some places there is still a pile of garbage, beggars walk around in the evening, but the sea is fine, the transformation of the coast was very successful. Getting into the city from the hotel row by bus is inconvenient. It is nice to see how the city and the coast are completely transformed and modernized over the years. In 2025, three new hotels will be built on the hotel row, within a kilometer, and the handover is scheduled for 2026. Let's take a look! The food is pretty much the same everywhere, good, as are the prices, but the hospitality at the DELFINI restaurant is excellent! The people are nice and friendly. The traffic, oh my, you have to pay attention! The one whose car is ahead has priority. They honk, but despite that, they are patient and understanding with foreigners. In previous years, there was a concrete-lined beach area in front of some hotels, which was being cleaned up. Unfortunately, the concrete pieces can still be found underwater, which is very unpleasant to step on. Beachgoers throw the concrete pieces onto the beach, and the garbage truck takes them away the next morning. It would be nice to sift this out with a machine! In Italy, we saw a tractor that sifted and cleaned not only the beach sand, but also the sand in the shallow water. It should be done here, too!

    This is perfect for its purpose!

    This is perfect for its purpose! A clean, comfy bed to catch some sleep before a flight. We could return our car, walk to Rinas to sleep and walk to the airport in the early morning. It worked out perfectly. Safe, clean & our bed was actually the most comfortable we had in our 2 weeks in Albania.

    Krujë is a lovely spot with both cultural and visual appeal.

    Krujë is a lovely spot with both cultural and visual appeal. One day is sufficient to see what there is to experience. I stayed an extra day because I had work to do online. Be warned, this is a mountain down so you will be doing a lot of up and downhill walking. Reconsider if you have mobility issues.

    Very beautiful beach, clean air surrounded by pine trees, family oriented, a lot of fresh and testy quality local food. Outstanding sunrise and sunset. The best I have ever seen so far. I would recommend to have options of water activities for the families and the kids even though there is plenty of ground activities available.

    We had to drive, but it wasn't a problem for us. We discovered some really nice local bars and restaurants. Duka Wine Estate is definitely recommended, just a 10-minute drive away! Lej & Laj, we'll definitely be back!

    Durres is a city of contrast from the Roman ampitheater to the beach, pool and shopping. Tasting the fresh fish from one of the seafront restaurants is a must but make sure you also fill up on byrek and sufflaqe! Pelikan has lots of amazing cakes for sweet treats, Tropikal resort has an amazing pool you can use for the day (1000leke) and the market is a hidden gem for bargains. The bus from the beach at Plepa along to the city Center gets VERY busy but for 40leke saves the stress of driving and trying to park and everywhere is then just a short walk. We love Durres and will be back.

    If you’re seeking nightlife or a highly developed tourist infrastructure, it’s better to stay closer to the city center or in Ksamil. Albania is not just a tourist destination; it is a living history of resilience. After decades of isolation, poverty, and deep wounds, its people are working with incredible strength to build a better future, brick by brick. Its beaches are a gift, its nature is wild and pure, but its most precious asset is its people: warm, humble, and courageous. Visiting Albania is not just about traveling; it is about witnessing a real transformation. Today I want to invite you to give this country, which is being reborn with dignity and hope, a chance. Albania deserves to be seen, felt, and embraced.

    Lovely and clean place.

    Lovely and clean place. Though quite small, there's plenty to explore - picturesque Bazaar under the castle with loads of lovely souvenirs where everyone is sure to find something to their taste and budget. Pretty restaurants and places of accommodation. Small shops but well stocked with things you might need. Shop owners and people working in restaurants speak decent English and the menus are available in both Albanian and English. The grounds of Krujë Castle don't seem to be large but there's a lot to explore and admire. You can walk among the romantic ruins, relax and enjoy the vista. If you venture out in the countryside, you can walk in olive groves among grazing sheep, goats and cows and if you are lucky, you can meet a local riding a donkey. If you love hiking, there's Krujë mountain. The best thing about Krujë is undoubtedly its location with stunning views - and that was what we loved the most about the place!

    We were not directly in the city but near the beach of San Pietro.Our place was beautiful , clean with a nice long beach. I would not recommend the city itself for accommodation due to dirty beach with a not very nice smell during our visit. I definitely recommend going further south or outside the city. There are still beautiful hotels and the city itself is very nice

    I loved our stay here.

    I loved our stay here. The beach is great - clean, not too busy as locals go there and only 1 or 2 hotels on the coast, so not overloaded by tourists like some European destinations. Beautiful beach, warm sea. Just perfect.
