Mr. Kalemi and family were there to make sure everything was perfect and guests felt special. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome and shown to our room within a magnificent stone historic building. They explained to us that it had once been a mansion belonging to a well-off family. The room had elaborate woodwork in the ceiling and in the embedded armoire made by local artisans. From our room we had magnificent ever-changing views of the castle above, depending on the weather and the time of day. It was magical. The hotel has private parking for guests. Breakfast was included and can be enjoyed indoors or at different outdoor locations, including a roof terrace overseeing the entire town. We had to pinch ourselves. The hotel is in the middle of everything, within a three minute walk to the heart of Gjirokaster which is what they call the Bazaar filled with shops, cafés, tavernas, etc. The facilities were top notch, from the hot water, bathroom, bedding, air conditioning. People are very helpful. A lot to discover between history and nature for those who loves walking and climbing. As an animal lover, I have rescued a dog and adopted him. Permet is a nice small city but with very good and hospitable people with a great history. It is called "the city of roses" because of the multi kinds of roses that grows in the city. The natural views are crazy in my opinion. Crazy mountains and rivers, streams everywhere. The people are very nice, I read about other accounts but we experienced nothing but kindness and politeness. Its off the beaten track which we personally like. Its not all tarted up and cheap touristic vibe like you get in so many European countries, that you dont know what is real anymore. The seaside is also now only about 50 min away - we took a road to Sarande that apparently was just completed, so we also experienced a bit of the mediteranean vibe.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Amazing town in the mountains with a lot of history worth a few days. The experience as enhanced by our stay at the Hotel SS Kekezi a unique family run hotel full of character and a fantastic breakfast. The owner was so helpful. We really enjoyed our time in Përmet.
We really enjoyed our time in Përmet. The town was surprisingly clean compared to bigger tourist cities – no piles of garbage and no unpleasant smells, which made it very pleasant to walk around. It’s also much quieter, which we really appreciated. We ate at Bar Restaurant Lulishte, and I can’t recommend it highly enough – the food was delicious and the atmosphere was very welcoming. Getting around Përmet is quite easy since it’s a small town, and the beautiful landscapes make every walk enjoyable. I liked Permet a lot!
I liked Permet a lot! It is a small town, so you see it in a single day but there is a beautiful river passing through it, and it is surrounded by mountains. There is a range of activities to do around Permet like rafting, hiking, canyoning. I stayed 3 days only but I would have enjoyed staying a bit more to do some hiking.Guest review byMariaBulgaria
