Very good room, perfect bathroom, large comfortable bed. Breakfast was lacking fresh vegetables, but otherwise decent. Coffee was very good. It was nice that we were not rushed to finish breakfast exactly at 11.00 and could stay at the breakfast restaurant a bit longer and enjoy our coffee. Receptionists were very kind and helpful. Good and safe parking near the hotel.

We spent a great couple of days here, but it was a shame that the weather was poor on day two and we couldn't enjoy the lovely pool area. The room was very spacious and the bed was huge and very comfortable. The shower was hot and the WiFi worked very well for us. Breakfast was lovely and the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. There were lots of nice touches, for example, leaving an HDMI cable connected to the TV is a simple thing, but it's the first time we have seen this. The views of the snow-capped Andes were spectacular. Parking was on site and secure.

Excelent human staff. Nice and clean 5* hotel - hard to find this type around San Juan. Mr Ivan from reception was great ! I think their whole staff could fit in into each modern metropolitan 5* cities hotel around Europe.

We loved this place. Very clean and comfortable. The owners were wonderful and spoke just enough English to explain everything about the home and local attractions. Much appreciated! We enjoyed the quiet location, security, kitchen, modern bathroom, and ample space. The bed was comfortable, and air-conditioning was terrific as it was a hot day. We would definitely recommend it.

    We loved our stay at el Aleman. The room was spacious, Well appointed, comfortable and very clean. The setting beautiful and great place to relax. There is also restaurant onsite and we had lovely meal with plenty of choices. The highlight of our visit was the owner Perla who is the loveliest host we have ever come across! She made us feel so welcome and went out of her way to help, even getting up extra early to prepare breakfast for us before our trip to the mountains

    Hotel Selby has been around for over 70 years in San Juan. It is a decent hotel, but looks like it has never been updated. If you like an authentic experience and are not looking for luxury, this is a great and budget friendly hotel to stay. Staff is friendly, hot water, wifi works, and a breakfast included. I had a good stay.

    Barreal is a simple village with a quiet life.

    Barreal is a simple village with a quiet life. You need to have a car to move around. Not to be missed the observatory for star gazing and the wind carts in Pampa de Leoncito with Familia Toro. Also, if you are a horse lover do look for Mr Carlos Villaroel. He has a great herd of horses that are used to go up in the Andes. He is an experienced and friendly guide with a family tradition of horsemanship. Alto Barreal by the main square (a little bit hidden but worth looking for it) is the place for "picadas" or assortment of cold cuts and cheese.
