This place at the heart of this town. You can easily go to the main club and main restaurant. The owner of this Villa is Angela and she is very lovely lady. Our stay at the Glück Auf was simply fantastic. The staff is so friendly and helpful, the facilities are top notch, and the location is perfect. Breakfast was beautifully presented, and it’s a very short walk to the Hauptstraße with many great restaurants. We plan on returning to this property!

The location is very good and easy reachable by car. The breakfast options and dinner variations are varied and remarkably tasty. Sauna is cosy and hot as sauna need to be.     Everything! The place is amazing and luxurious and quiet. We felt alone all the time. Every detail was thought of and everything is pampering and perfect. The beds are insanely comfortable. The room is perfect and spacious. Everything is clean. The dinner is excellent. The breakfast is perfect. The pools are amazing . Before I arrived they wrote to me to confirm the time of arrival and when I said that I might not make it to dinner, they told me that they would take care of the food for me.     We had an absolutely lovely time at this beautiful and unique hotel from the point of our check-in until check-out. The dining experience of the 5-course meals was really good and each dish was delicious. Compliment to the chef! Breakfast offered a variety of good products. We enjoyed the wellness area, particularly four different saunas. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, special mention to Erik and Nico for their professional service.

    Very nice location, big and clean rooms. Hotel has a restaurant with good food and very tasty Radler. Breakfast was also very good, great cappuccino and a lot of food choice. Breakfast times are quite late for our taste (07:30 - 10:00), as we came to hike in the region. The parking slot is big (located behind the hotel), we had no problem with parking coming to the hotel on late Friday evening.

    Very friendly and helpful staff, switched my room to suit my length regarding the bed! Nice swimming pool with very good showers. Half board included a 6-course diner and an excellent breakfast! They also will mail your postcards for you. I was here as a stopover, and was actually sorry to leave. Would have liked to stay longer. The bed was very good.

    The perfect Zillertal base — charming, active, and full of...

    The perfect Zillertal base — charming, active, and full of alpine character. Mayrhofen is a gem in the heart of the Zillertal Alps — both lively and surrounded by breathtaking scenery. My favorite spot in town was the central square with the iconic ibex statue and the beautiful alpine church, perfect for soaking in the mountain vibe. I enjoyed traditional Tyrolean meals at local guesthouses, and the hut-style restaurants in the surrounding mountains are worth the hike. Breakfast at my hotel was exceptional, and the Zillertal beer is a must-try after a long day outdoors. Getting around is easy — everything in town is walkable, and the Zillertalbahn train makes exploring the valley simple. For solo travelers like me, Mayrhofen is ideal: scenic hiking trails start right from town, there’s an excellent pool & spa complex (Erlebnisbad), and plenty of cafés and beer gardens to meet people or just relax. Whether you’re here for a few days or as a base for adventures like the Berliner Höhenweg, Mayrhofen delivers both comfort and authentic alpine atmosphere.

    The house is perfectly located fir skiers as it is at the route of G1 skibus so it ics convenient to get to the rwo cable cars: Moslbahn or Horbergbahn. Hippach is a small but nice village with a couple of stores and pretty buildings. We haven’t explored it too much as our time was dedicated to skiing.

    For the whole valley there is a card called Active.

    For the whole valley there is a card called Active. We spent 100 euro for 6 days and you can use it for travelling with the train till Mayrhofen and for using the cabin cable spread in the valley. This is very suggested.

    no good restaurants, in the town on the other side of river was outdoor pool, playgrounds for kids and sport center. good staring point if you want to ride bike in alps. good bus and train connection. Ramsau is between right in the middle between Zillertal Arena and Mayrhofen. so good place to stay and sleep but you need to travel by car or bike to turistic places

    I've been to Mayrhofen many times over the years.

    I've been to Mayrhofen many times over the years. On top of the magnificent views and mountains, I always recommend it particularly on the size of the town. There are plenty of shops, restaurants and hotels in the centre, which give plenty of options if you ever should get a bad weather day. If you are there for a few days, the Active Card is well worth getting. It includes all lifts, train and buses in the valley, so you can get about easily, trying other towns in the valley, without thinking of additional cost.

    The ski area has a good range of slopes for novice/intermediates. If you are a total beginner there are better areas to start your skiing adventures. The best slopes in our opinion are a few runs and ski lifts away from the ascent via the Penkenbahn but are so worth it. Ahorn is good for an easy accessible confidence boost run or 2 and has some fun areas for the children. Hintertux glacier is a good day out and free bus available but can be super busy. We flew in to Innsbruck and then took the train to Mayrhofen for the first time and it was super easy and good value.
