Starting with the staff who were extremely nice and helpful with a great spirit and joy, amenities and facilities, gourmet food, the Feuerbar which organized on the Easter week-end an amazing BBQ.     The location of the CESTA hotel in Bad Bruck is conveniently located opposite a bus stop with regular bus services. The hotel rooms are outstanding big with good cupboard space, a comfy bed, well equipped bathroom, and as we were there in winter - good heating. Breakfast buffet offers a big variety of food (cold and hot, salty and sweet). Spa - the swimming pool is a good size for swimming and temperature of the water makes you stay in comfortably. The use of sauna area and steam bath is mixed, which is not everyone´s liking. A big praise to the staff at the bar area and the restaurant, they were very professional and friendly.

    The staff was lovely and so hospitable, even opening up the outdoor heated pool area early when they saw we were swimming inside. The pools / playground / garden area /indoor play room is ideal for a stress-free break with the kids. Breakfast and dinner both really nice. Comfy beds. Awesome views. We wouldn't change a thing. Usually we don't revisit hotels, because they are rarely perfect, and it's more fun to keep exploring, but this is an exception. We will come back.

    The whole experience was great. The hotel has a nice, cosy atmosphere all around, the food was good, varying every day and the staff were really helpful. The location is excellent, especially for beginners as one of the skiing schools is just across the street. We were there during a lower peak period so it was not crowded at all which was great. Definitely considering staying here again in the future.

    We spent three nights at Sporthotel and had an amazing stay. Our room was very nice, clean, and well-equipped.     The hotel is amazing, the swimming pool and sauna is a great advantage. We stayed at the Center House. Everything in the room is brand new. The room contains all the amenities one might need, for example a kettle, coffeemaker, pots, good knives. You can definitely cook your meal if you want to. Totally worth it, would come back anytime.

    Bad Gastein is an amazing mix of natural beauty and old-world charm, surrounded by stunning mountains and lush forests. In winter its a fantastic skiing area, and since its over 1000 meters elevated they usually have a long skiing season. In summer its great for hiking! There’s so much to do, from relaxing in the famous thermal spas to exploring endless hiking trails with breathtaking views.

    A village in beautiful scenery that lacks something. Accessibility of services (hiking, lifts, restaurants) was a bit confusing. Many services did not have clear English instructions/price lists/online shops. The Tyrolean region summer card seemed to give you a much wider range of services than the Salzburger region.

    I've been visiting Bad Hofgastein for 12 years in the summer holiday, and with every visit it gets a bigger space in my heart. Plenty of memories, plenty of relaxation, plenty of beautiful and peaceful sceneries, and every year people are being nicer and sweeter. The town keeps developing and renovating that can be noticed in every visit.

    Sankt Johann is a clean and beautiful town with gorgeous views of the mountains. Walked to visit the town center for breakfast at Bäckerei-Cafe-Konditorei Bauer. We visited Liechtensteinklamm just before they closed. It was the best time to visit the gorge.

    Gorgeous view of mountains, great place for nature-lovers, you can spend there some quality time both in winter & in summer. Hallstatt, Zell am See, Dachstein are only 1 hour drive from Wagrain. Be aware of toll roads & tunnels (above the motorway fee). If you are travelling with kids, they will enjoy the Hermann Maier Freizeitpark in Flachau (ca 15-20 mins drive from Wagrain). You should check out the opening schedule of supermarkets and restaurants, eg. after 9 PM, you might not find any open places or restaurants could have their own break days.

    A quiet and secluded place, lovely for hiking and views. I guess in winter it is good for skiing, we went in September and stayed for 2 nights, which seemed just right, as there are not that many options for bars and restaurants in the village.

    A nice little town with history.

    A nice little town with history. The city walls and towers are still there to see. You can walk around the old city center and read about the history of the town. There are several restaurants and café. One could go to a cinema or go listening to the music, but this is to be checked in advance. Hiking in the mountain forests or cycling - this is what you do here. There are downhill ski routes, but we were in summer and could not say anything about these. Within an hour of driving you can reach popular touristic places around, like Dachstein, Hallstadt, Pongau or Salzburg.

    Grossarl is a booming ski town but in June 2023 the part west of the river was essentially a huge building site. However it was great for mountain walking once away from the town itself. With a guest card (free from your accommodation) one can travel on local buses in the valley for 1 Euro per person per trip! There is a very adequate Billa supermarket.
