The cottage was clean, very neat & tidy & comfortable. Bob & Ange went above expectations with their little touches (soaps, cling wrap, salt & pepper, oils, cooking equipment & BBQ needs…) & also left us some King Island cheese & some port. As it was our 30th wedding anniversary, they even left us some sparkling wine & strawberries. The laundry was well stocked & included a washing machine & dryer. we definitely would stay again.

Location was perfect with unobstructed beach views from your window (the beach was only across the road!!!) The cabin had everything you could need and then some...even matches and candles! Fully functional kitchenette and thick soft towels in the bathroom. Bedding was excellent, including the sofa bed. Manager was only too helpful and friendly. If you're looking for a good price, quiet, low key location you've come to the right place.

The location was excellent, close to Currie and the accommodation was wonderful. Every little detail to make our stay great was thoughtfully provided.

People were friendly. Love less traffic than Melbourne.
People were friendly. Love less traffic than Melbourne. Disappointing steak at the hotel. Cook must have been having a bad day. Supermarket s good. Some activities closed on days we were there which was disappointing.

I loved the peace and quiet.
I loved the peace and quiet. There are no shops - you need to drive to Currie for that, but you have to drive everywhere pretty much so not a problem. Close access to my own beach was fantastic. The friendly little wrens joining me for breakfast and Happy Hour was very special.

Great place to visit and hotel was in a great area.
Great place to visit and hotel was in a great area. Main things to do are Fishing and Golf which was great for the guys but nothing much for us girls to do. We were lucky the races were on and we went to them that was a fun day. Hotel supplied continental breakfast which was great and had a very comfortable bed and the best fluffy bath towels. There was a great outdoor kitchen which was well equipped where we had drinks one night and dinner and drinks another night. A visit to the chesse factory is a must.

Naracoopa is on the quiet side of the island.
Naracoopa is on the quiet side of the island. It is a little out of the way from most of the attractions, but as King Island is small travelling around isn’t really a problem. Fishing form the jetty seemed very easy. The beach and surrounds well kept and clean. There is a bbq area and small playground.

There's no denying King Island is small and the roads are mainy gravel but they are good to drive on and Naracoopa being the less populated side of the island is ideal for those wanting to embrace a slow paced, quiet and nature laden experience - the birdlife is fabulous. Fairy wrens, green parrots, swifts, sparrows, starlings, blackbirds galore. (I'm sure there is more that a birder would recognise.) Nothing is far away and the jetty is easily walkable. Easier to bring your own food as not much is available on this side of the island.
