- From US$424.94 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 221 reviewsOnly a few minutes out of Montville, but you feel like you are far, far away from the rest of the world. It's beautiful and so peaceful, and I felt like I could stay there forever. The view of the mini- lake, complete with lily pads and frogs, from the bedroom and living room was wonderful. Absolutely recommend 100% if you are looking for an escape. I think it's particularly suited to romantic escapes! The owner/ managers take excellent care of you without being even slightly intrusive. Hot, fresh baked croissants hung quietly and unobtrusively on your door every morning for breakfast! So many thoughtful little touches in the cottage, including a freshly laid fire ready to light! And you don't even notice other guests! I particularly loved how many birds were on the property, whipbirds, kookaburras, currawongs, butcher birds, frogmouths (I saw 4!) Yellow tailed black cockatoos, sulfer crested cockatoos, pale headed rosella, ibis, doves, ducks to name a few... It's perfectly located to explore the sunshine coast hinterland, but if you were so inclined you could never leave the property for your whole stay! Just a note for anyone trying to work on holiday, there's no wifi and certain mobile sim cards will drop in and out of service, just as they do in the whole hinterland area. I'm not putting this in the category of things I disliked because it was not important to me.Guest review byMaryamUnited Arab Emirates
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 240 reviewsIt was so much more than we expected. The walk down to the cottage was a delight and our Hosts Alen an Ayrna just topped of our stay. Plus it's the attention to detail that really makes this place so special. You also have plenty to do with in a short drive to keep you occupied if just relaxing in your cottage isn't enough to fill your time.Guest review byKarenAustralia

Montville is a lovely little locale with some great dining spots, art studios and natural elements to enjoy. We liked our brunch at Priscilla's Gallery and had yummy scones at Poet's Cafe. We also had some nice dinners in the Bar and Grill - good wines there too. We also enjoyed listening to the live music from the beer garden. Kondalilla and Gardner's Falls are worth the visit while you're here.Guest review byLeeaAustralia - 10.0
Maleny is a quaint, beautiful and magical place.
Maleny is a quaint, beautiful and magical place. We loved the trail from the property into town, loved to walk around the little boutique shops and also great that all amenities can be bought there. The pharmacy isn't open on Sunday's so take note. We recommend booking restaurants ahead of time.Guest review byKelly FenningAustralia - 8.0

Nambour is an old established town but it provides easy and quick access to the Sunshine Coast( around 20 mins to the Sunshine Coast airport) where accommodation could be considerably more expensive. My stay in the Nambour Heights Motel was directly opposite the Nambour Hospital and relatively close to other places in the area. It was 11 minutes from the Buderim Ginger Factory and very close to the Big Pineapple. Also close to the Bli Bli water ski park which appeared to be a huge complex.Guest review byMichaelAustralia - 10.0

The main attraction in Beerwah is Australia Zoo but we actually skipped the zoo this time and opted out for a quieter and more peaceful trip. There are so many beautiful landscapes and walks to enjoy in the area and it's only a short drive to Maleny or Montville as well. If you are seeking a relaxing experience, I'd definitely recommend visiting those two little towns. We enjoyed the Thai Restaurant in Maleny and strolls through the streets of Montville followed by a hearty lunch at The Edge Restaurant. We also visited the Botanic Gardens & Bird Sanctuary in Maleny which was AMAZING!Guest review byLisaGermany - 10.0
My favourite Italian restaurant was open.
My favourite Italian restaurant was open. So a hot pizza on a cold night made all the difference to our stay. The local store has a great variety of foods for snacks or dinner and then it's nice just to walk around and explore the town.Guest review byGrahamAustralia - 10.0
What a beautiful area.
What a beautiful area. Coming froM SA were we are in drought it was great rto see everything so green and lush. Many little quaint towns to visit. With many eateries and gorgeous shops We dined at the glass house mountain Tavern food was delicious and reasonably priced.Guest review byChristineAustralia - 10.0
Hiking in the area is always fantastic.
Hiking in the area is always fantastic. The shops are quaint and quirky if that's your thing (not really mine) but for me it's the region's nature that keeps me coming back. To that end, there are pretty limited mid-range accommodation options that aren't in the townships. Some areas have more of that sort of thing nestled right among the mountains and forests, whereas in this area that kind of accommodation is harder to find and more expensive - though if you're willing to head down the range to the Eudlo area (it's only a 20 minute drive) you can do well staying there and taking day trips up the mountains.Guest review byRobAustralia - 10.0
Excellent stay. Everything was absolutely fantastic.
Excellent stay. Everything was absolutely fantastic. Beautiful home in the most magnificent setting. Everything and more was catered for. Honor was helpful and informative. Very kind. I actually cried the morning we had to leave. Definitely could have stayed, much longer.Guest review byLynneUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Great property for family travelling with ensuite bathrooms.
Great property for family travelling with ensuite bathrooms. The property is dated but it meats the style of an old Queenslander. If it was modernised would spoil character.Great wrap round verandah which is gated and can be closed off for young children to safely play. Plenty of utensils and crockery etc in the kitchen, some older adding to the character Will be back to explore this property walking opportunities, dam, ,cattle and horse furtherGuest review byLorraineAustralia - 10.0

Montville is a gorgeous town in the Sunshine Coast hinterland .. I just love it and keep coming back. So close to everything - including beaches, shopping centres - yet far enough away to escape from the world! Cool winters, open fireplaces and autumn leaves make the place even more special.Guest review byJoanneAustralia
