- From $94.87 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Excellent - What previous guests thought, 1,466 reviewsThe units were of good size with a small living room, large clean fully equipped kitchen/eating area, bedroom and bathroom. The light was good and when we opened the windows had great airflow. Cute place. We actually never met any staff as we arrived late (easy checking instructions left for us) and both mornings there we departed before the office opened.Guest review byBetsyUnited States

Such a beautiful, historic and interesting city which we thoroughly enjoyed exploring. The traffic was easy, people kind and friendly, food and coffee delicious and lots of local, independent shops to visit. The history was so interesting and we really appreciated the beauty of the buildings. The tourist board has done a fabulous job of making the European history come to life, and did not shy away from the the effects on the indigenous inhabitants in each area without embellishing or dramatising the facts. The staff at these places were deeply engaging and highly knowledgeable and their passion was infectioius. We left Tasmania knowing we will return, so thanks to everyone we met for making our too short visit a wonderful experienceGuest review byMarina BarkerAustralia - 8.0

Having been to and really loving Hobart, my daughter and I decided to try the next biggest city in Tasmania, Launceston. It's not as vibrant and does not offer as many attractions as Hobart, but does boast the glorious Cataract Gorge and Tamar Wetlands. With a car, you can also visit landmarks including Cradle Mountain, the Trowunna Wildlife Sanctuary and Freycinet National Park. We also chanced upon the Truffle Farm Tasmania on our drive to the wildlife sanctuary and stopped for some truffle oil, mustard and cream!Guest review byHarinderMalaysia - 10.0

The timing of our trip and very little crowd was the best part. Having pretty much Dove lake to ourselves was amazing. The weather was a bit so so but it’s was all prt of the experience. It’s an amazing, beautiful place. A must is to do the dove lake circuit and the Roony Creek to Dove lake. Walks are fairly easy and 80% on boardwalks. Marion’s lookout is a definite for next trip. Don’t forget to also do Devils @ cradle for amazing wildlife experienceGuest review byAshAustralia - 10.0
Bicheno was a great base to explore the area.
Bicheno was a great base to explore the area. We were sad we did not see any penguins. We had take away fish and chips at Tasmanian Coastal Seafoods which was beautifully cooked and delicious! We also had dinner at Le Coq and wow, was the most amazing piece of steak that melted in your mouth.Guest review byDeborahAustralia - 10.0
Everything about St Helens was beautiful.
Everything about St Helens was beautiful. We really wish we could have stayed alot longer. We had breakfast at the The Lifebuoy Cafe which was awesome!!! Everyone absolutely loved the breakfast (5 stars) and excellent coffee. We also loved visiting the Bay of Fires and found this lovely beach "Squeaky Beach". This place is a must visit for people touring TasmaniaGuest review byMacdonald - 10.0

The day tour river cruise on the red boat up the gordon river including Sarah island was perfect and great history lesson provided by great guides. The nightly performance of the play ‘the ship that never was’ was really good fun and complemented the tour. Great food options in town and a great cafe near ferry wharf to kick off the day.Guest review bySeanAustralia - 10.0

We visited outside the peak periods so tours were much more pleasant than full boats and queues. Loved the location of our accommodation away from the township. Be aware that there are limited supply choices in the general stores.Guest review byBronwynAustralia - 6.0
Retirement by the sea. Very few young people.
Retirement by the sea. Very few young people. Standout IGA & General Store. Indifferent (and rude) staff at one high profile take away!! BUT WAIT - the place you must go to is the iconic Melshell Oyster Shack at nearby Dolphin Sands. Not fancy buildings, just genuine people concentrating on the perfect oysters. World-class award winning taste sensation.Guest review byPhilAustralia - 10.0
You need a full day.
You need a full day. The cruise is included in the entry and very informative. You can book various tours and take a walk around by yourself. For those with mobility problems a free buggy will take you to various sites. Some places have steps. There is a great cafe that sells hot or cold food and drinks a gift shop ad a dining room for nght time meals. There is a lovely Cafe and museum at the lunatic asylum along with restrooms. Make sure you have your camera ready as some beautiful birds throughout. Wear comfy shoes and be prepared for quick change in weather. overall it is a very great insight in the harsh conditions convicts endured. Enjoy.Guest review byCherylAustralia
