Heaps of cafes and restaurants, shopping all walking distance from beach front walks, train station short walk. Great night life considering it was just a normal weekend in winter. Every part of Geelong we saw was very clean and maintained, great place to walk and relax.Guest review byDennisAustralia - 10.0
It is an absolute gem for a tourist.
It is an absolute gem for a tourist. There is so much to do and see. It is an amazing city. A mixture of by gone gold mining history with plenty of modern tourist attractions and facilities. You can’t go wrong with a stay at Bendigo.Guest review byHerbert - 10.0

Loved the trees and plants around the house, it was very warm and cosy, kitchen facilities were great and house was spacious. We very much enjoyed our stay. Just needs a little bit more lighting for reading, but overall it was a wonderful place to get away.Guest review byJennyAustralia - 10.0
Very pretty town quite an interesting history.
Very pretty town quite an interesting history. Great cafes but the night life is about what you would expect. Fantastic art gallery near the river and an arts centre as well. Everything you could need in terms of shopping. Lots of cool day trips on offer as well. I would visit again but always in spring, never go in winter or summer! Oh and there are flies: it is the outback after all.Guest review byNicoleAustralia - 8.0

A country town with lots to do.
A country town with lots to do. The new art gallery is spectacular. The things I wanted to see and will go bck to see were the cow sculpture trail, the Furphy dispaly at the car museum and the costume museum. I was a bit surprised by the abundance of pay car parking in the city centre.Guest review byJanAustralia - 10.0

Great central spot for our visit to Philip Island attractions - Penguin Parade, Nobbies, Vietnam Vets Museum ... all great places to spend some time. As well as visiting some lovely places to eat! Didn't make it to the Markets ... maybe next time!Guest review byHeatherAustralia - 10.0

Great spot on the banks of the Murray with interesting history not just in the Port but throughout the township where guidance plaques tell of its rich history. Echuca is also a base for paddle steamer trips that can last hours or days - and this comes with particular recommendation as one of the most relaxing trips we've done. Three nights on the PS Emmylou was regenerating - as we glided down the Murray to the heartbeat of the paddles gently massaging our ears. We floated past remote bushland with wedge tailed eagles circling high in the sky and Galahs screeching their welcome to some of the most majestic scenery on the planet.Guest review byDudleyAustralia
