Flinders backpackers was a fantastic vibe, for growth, be being able to thrive without the drama…overall I had 90% good and maybe 10% bad….this was due to 2 staff with there own agenda…being told I smoked inside a room when I DID NOT left a bad taste in my stay and to top it off even after I clearly said that it was untrue the Indian manager decided to then charge me for the extra night $150 all up out of pocket ….on a person who struggles as it is …your karma will be everything you deserve..:.to the rest of the staff and people I thank you For allowing me to feel a sense of normal again…my ch love…DanGuest review byDanielAustralia - 8.0

Geelong has a lot to offer with some great restaurants, cafes and pubs for meals. Well located if you want to travel to other places like Lorne, Barwon Heads, Queenscliff, but want more reasonable hotel rates, Geelong is more reasonably priced. Good shopping and great waterfront. Easy to get around with either public transport or car. There’s lots of wineries nearby so that’s also a bonus.Guest review byTraceyAustralia - 10.0

Really enjoyed the Paddle Steamer excursion and gaining an understanding of the 'lock system' along the river. People were friendly and helpful. Best dining experience was 'Enjoywine Char Grill & Bar'. Amazing food and great service. Also, really enjoyed the visit to Wentworth Gaol and the Wentworth Pioneer Museum - really interesting! Was disappointed that some of the places we wanted to visit were not open Monday to Wednesday - but these are places we can visit next time we are there!Guest review byPeakAustralia - 8.0

Walks, exploring, R and R, shopping and eating out. We loved walking out on the rock jetty and talking with local fishermen. Enjoyed Marriners Lookout, great sea views and vegetation of the area. All of the food we experienced was very good and appropriate as advertised - presented with care and knowledge.Guest review byChristineAustralia - 10.0

Easy city to navigate, sightseeing venues central, easy to locate. Staff in shops professional & friendly, happy, good service is shops. Good range of shopping & eateries available, only criticism would be that we couldn’t find a coffee shop open after 4pm on Sunday, apart from the RSL. Botanical gardens worth visiting. Train service from Melbourne very efficient, clean. Station easy walk to shops.Guest review byLorraineAustralia - 10.0
