The personnel was genuinely happy to see us and have a chat. Everyone smiling and positive. That creates a great atmosphere. Clean, luxury, but cozy place we want to come back in winter too. Great food for every taste. A lot of things to do: spa, singers, mountain lift nearby etc. Kids friendly: cartoon cinema, kinder garden, activities throughout the day, kids rooms... The hotel that creates good memories!

I highly recommend this hotel for your stay in the Bulgarian mountains. It truly stands out from anything else in the area. You can tell the owners have international experience – they know how things should look and work. I also really loved their branding, it’s thoughtful and well executed. The food in the restaurant was a fantastic surprise after many mixed experiences in Bulgaria. My husband and I also enjoyed the sauna and jacuzzi, playing games in the cozy lobby, the clean sheets, and the spacious room. We’ll be happy to come back!

Everything was clean. Room was cosy and comfortable. Staff was nice and polite. We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant. It was great at two meals. I'm very impressed that they leave child slippers and bathrobe in our room for our daughter. I've stayed lots of hotels around the world. Mostly five stars hotels. But never experienced this level of care. It made us very happy.

    The spa was great. However, you do need to know that the outside pool is seasonal. While we were there, the children's pool outside was working, though. You get all that is necessary in the spa (three pools, one pool inside, one children's pool outside, a big pool outside, a Roman bath, a sauna, a salt room, a steam bath, warm sunbeds, plus massages and pedicures but at an extra cost. The rest of the spa is free to use.). The breakfast is also very good. It's a buffet breakfast and anyone can find something to their liking. The tea they serve at breakfast is especially tasty. The location is nice and quiet, however, there isn't much in the vicinity and if you want to go to a nearby town or city, you do have to go with a car. However, it's much cleaner than being in an actual city, because you can take a breath of fresh air. The lack of a city nearby was a positive experience for us. It is a great hotel and it has a great location if you want to relax and rejuvinate. If you are looking for something to explore, Tsari Mali Grad (a cultural historical complex) is nearby, in the village of Belchin, and it's interesting to see for newcomers.

    Everything was wonderful! The hut Yagoda was clean, cozy and comfortable. The restaurant dishes were tasty and the personnel were extremely kind and attentive, in particular a young teenager girl named Lyubomira. The whole facility is great and I'm going to come back for sure! I could work in peace and then enjoy the quietness and the freshness of the woods with a yummy barbecue for which there was a fire pit at my disposal Thank you!

    Delicious breakfast! The hotel is in a convenient location to visit the town. Aside from the onsite pool, there is a local park with a playground for children in front of the property and several little shops that sell basic foods, fruits and treats.     My family and I stayed in Borovets in early May, and even though the ski lift was out of service, we had a wonderful time. We explored several nature trails, like the scenic Beli Iskar path, which were perfect for family walks surrounded by stunning mountain views. The kids loved our horseback riding adventure through the Rila Mountains, and we easily spent a relaxing half-day at the hotel’s spa, unwinding in the pool and saunas. Borovets offered plenty of activities to keep us entertained, making it a great destination even outside ski season

    The hotel and facilities are on the whole excellent. Didn't have time to make use of the pool and spa or walk the lake. Strongly suggest eating dinner at the restaurant as food was delicious. If you are a light sleeper be prepared for the room's night lights to turn on randomly as it impacted my sleep. If it wasn't for that the hotel would have been rated excellent.

    Lots of stores around (Lidl, Billa, Bulgarian stores), lots of gas stations. Nice and very good restaurants (mehana Pri Sote, Mehana Starata kushta known as The Old House Restaurant). Very close to Borovets - only 10 minutes drive. Not busy. Very nice mountain view.

    Great villa in silent area with fantastic view on the mountains and fields from the bedrooms, balcony and terrace. The villa is new , clean and very comfortable, equipped with everything you need and even more. Supermarkets, restrants are in 15 min drive, many walking trails around: Seven Lakes, Rila monastery, Borovets etc. And Lili the Host is amaizing: very friendly and helpful and available in any time. Will definitely recommend this place and hope to come back again

    Belchin is a wonderful place to relax and hide from the city bustle. In Belchin Garden, you can enjoy peace and solitude. There are various opportunities to pamper yourself - mineral water pools, a spa center, wonderful masseurs and delicious food.

    Etropole is just an expected lovely surprise!

    Etropole is just an expected lovely surprise! The city itself is not too big but the surrounding are beautiful. We found an amazing track (called The echo of a bell ringing) to the St. Trinity monastery which was absolutely gorgeous. Nearby there is a waterfall and an amazing view to Stara Planina (the Balkan Mountains). For the adventure lovers, there is a horse riding arena on the outskirts of Etropole.

    Nice slopes. Expensive hotels close to the slopes. But you can stay at any hotel and come up to the slope by car, 10..15 BGN the parking fee. The Rila hotel is cool (the indoors pool) but you need to plan in advance the stay. Also, if you do not have kids try to plan your stay when schools are not in vacation in Romania and/or England.

    The town in INCREDIBLE but the local authorities have DESTROYED the town: the roads are HORRENDOUS! Not just the potholes all along the streets but THE WHOLE MAIN ROAD IS MISSING! There's only sand, gravel and DUST in the heart of the town! And we couldn't sit in any of the cafes or restaurants in the center: they were so dusty and looked so dirty! The mayor has totally failed and destroyed tourism here. Shame because the town is so special and so unique, we visited it many years ago... And the other shocking thing was THERE WAS NO BREAKFAST ANYWHERE IN THE CENTER: at 10am there was no food anywhere, everything was closed! Shame!

    The purpose of our trip was skiing in Borovets.

    The purpose of our trip was skiing in Borovets. Samokov was a good value alternative to Borovets as we had a rental car. The drive between the two is very easy 10-15 minutes. There is some nice traditional restaurants in Samokov and much better value than the restaurant in the Borovets resort. If you don't mind staying outside of Borovets this is a good option to save money. There are 3 big supermarkets next to eachother in Samokov, Lidl, T market and Billa so you can get everything you need if you are self catering.
