Much less busy than Banff, so easier to get around and quieter in town. It is also less expensive and all the people we met were very friendly. Jasper has a lot to offer. It's quieter than Banff, but plenty of food options in a small down town without the same level of overt tourism as Banff. Only drawback is all the areas that remain closed due to fires from over a year ago. I paid nearly $800 per night expecting a quiet, nature-focused stay, as advertised on the hotel’s website. Instead, I was first given a noisy room, and then moved to another that smelled strongly of bleach and had a broken window. Despite my allergy, no alternative room was offered. The bleach fumes caused severe headaches that required painkillers, and by the second day, ants had entered the room. We used Leduc as a staging area, before flying home from the Edmonton airport, which is also a very nice airport, with lots of amenities. In that respect, Leduc is full of hotels, restaurants, etc., I.e. all the amenities you may want or need, before driving or flying to your next or final destination. Also, if you rented a vehicle for your trip, you can fill the gas tank up at a reasonable price at Costco or some of the gas stations near the airport (just look on GasBuddy) before returning your rental vehicle.Guest review byGeorgeUnited States - 10.0
