- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 235 reviewsI absolutely loved our stay at Ton's place. Our cabin was clean, cozy and warm ( outside temperature was around 8°C), the private bathroom was located few steps away. You can access the beach directly from the property and maybe even spot some seals in the morning. Ton also runs the Dancing Moose Cafe, where you can have a delicious pannenkoek while being entertain by colorful birds and a very bossy squirrel. It's a lovely place and Ton is a friendly and helpful host. If you are on the road around the Cabot Trail make sure to stop by.Guest review bycristinaItaly
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 94 reviewsThe location was beautiful, we loved watching the sunset over the ocean from the hot tub. The cabin was well-appointed and we were able to cook some simple meals in, with a quick trip to the market down the road. It was very clean and well provided in terms of towels, toiletries, kitchen supplies, etc... Overall, a great stay. We had a lovely holiday!Guest review byKimCanada

We greatly enjoyed Baddeck's Lobster Suppers.
We greatly enjoyed Baddeck's Lobster Suppers. The food was incredibly delicious, and the service given by Carley was excellent. All staff generated a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The Bean There Cafe also offered friendly service with delicious coffee. The town is conveniently located for us to travel the Cabot Trail.Guest review bycoutureCanada - 6.0
We ate dinner at Le Gabriel Restaurant.
We ate dinner at Le Gabriel Restaurant. There was entertainment Sunday evening at the restaurant. A woman played the fiddle and a man accompanied her on a keyboard. They were excellent. Seafood prices are very high. The place was very busy and the food was good. Getting around Cheticamp is easy. We enjoyed driving along the entire Cabot Trail on Cape Breton Island. The Cape Breton Highlands Provincial Park was closed because of high fire danger.Guest review bylewis - 8.0
We LOVED our accommodations, the quiet and the beach!
We LOVED our accommodations, the quiet and the beach! Most restaurant food was very good. Loved whale watching and the gondola. Would have like a continental breakfast as there were no restaurants within walking distance. Also, restaurants close too early and many ran out of food so decided to close! 150 people at the pizza place (because no place else was open with availability) on a Sunday wasn’t fun.Guest review byMaryCanada - 8.0
Lovely place. Scenery great.
Lovely place. Scenery great. Food at Main Street Restaurant was very good, deserts were extremely good but expensive. Cape Smokey Gondola was very interesting with great view from the top. The Gondola was a little expensive for someone who only went up and down after seeing the view. There were some trails but didn't seem to be well marked.Guest review byreginaldCanada - 6.0

A bit pricey for what you get but options in the area for what we needed were limited. Restaurant onsite with good menu and great service was very convenient for us, especially after some long days travelling and hiking. Loved parking right at our door as it allowed for easy unloading and loading. Our room was towards the back away from the main road which was quieter than other places we stayed. Disappointed that I didn’t check the details of the listing before I booked to see if it had a microwave and fridge, which it did not. TV was miniature but we didn’t use anyway. Internet was spotty when both of us were trying to use it. Shower was wonky and whole room could have been upgraded with a few things while still keeping the charm. bed was not to my liking —- a bit hard—-ended up not sleeping much. All in all it was ok for one night and the restaurant was a huge bonus but I would see if there are other options next time.Guest review byAnonymous - 6.0
Good spot for sunsets. Very small town off the Cabot Trail.
Good spot for sunsets. Very small town off the Cabot Trail. Therefore very few restaurants. They also close early in the shoulder season so good to keep in mind. The main restaurant was Belles and it had a good selection on the menu. The lobster roll was okay and the seafood chowder good.Guest review byDavidUnited States - 4.0

This was a unique communal camping experience but it is not, as they call themselves, a 4-star resort. It is definitely not for everyone and I would highly recommend more clarity on the Booking.com site. My review should be on there.Guest review bySuzanneUnited States - 8.0
It is gorgeous but even more remote than I realized.
It is gorgeous but even more remote than I realized. Options for food and bathrooms are few and far between and have limited operating hours. Plan accordingly and it will be perfect! The Dancing Moose and the Clucking Hen were both terrific with the offerings and the quality of the food.Guest review byElizabethUnited States - 10.0

Loved the Bell Historical Museum and the drive of the Cabot Trail. Within the town, we found people very helpful and proud of their town. Food was good everywhere and so was service. If you are an "outdoors person", there is more to do than for us indoor city types.Guest review byEd2goCanada - 10.0
We love Cheticamp.
We love Cheticamp. The Dory for entertainment or the Gabriel for an outdoor beverage. Lots to see . Beautiful location watching the fishing boats! The Auberge Suites are great. Stayed there twice. And would stay again!Guest review byKatieCanada
