- From US$152.71 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.5Good - What previous guests thought, 368 reviewsWe loved our stay at the Digby Pines and Golf Resort and Spa and would definitely recommend staying here!! They have everything to offer for a relaxing and romantic getaway. The staff is just wonderful. The elevator was broken upon arrival, but they offered to bring our luggage to the room. The room itself is a bit more traditional, but had everything we needed and fits within the concept of the accomodation. We had a great night sleep in the comfy beds and woke up to the sublime smell of the breakfast buffet, which was so delicious and really extensive (pancakes, pastries, eggs benedict, and even an omlet station)! The domain was absolutely beautiful. We took a walk to the beach and enjoyed a game of giant chess. Also, it is a 5 min drive to the centre of Digby, a cute town with cosy little shops and reastaurants (must try: Digby scallops and lobster). Also perfect location if you are planning to go whale spotting on Brier Island. We could not have enjoyed our stay more!Guest review byTrijntjeBelgium

So much to see and do in downtown Halifax.
So much to see and do in downtown Halifax. The mixture of restored historical buildings alongside modern new ones is well done. Lots of good food at moderate prices ruined with 25% more in taxes. Be aware that the airport is rather distant from the city.Guest review byDiann EiserlohUnited States - 10
we didn't stay long enough to get a real feel for the place.
we didn't stay long enough to get a real feel for the place. the ocean side and road trip around the Cabot Trail were the best, stopping at the different parkways on the trip. our hosts were great and informative about the whole experience. The roads are great to travel on. The people are friendly and helpful everywhere we went. The roadside stops were very scenic just as we were told they would be. definitely going back again someday!Guest review bymelodyCanada - 10

What a quaint place to visit, the Port of Sydney, the Big Fiddle, the boardwalk and the shopping was great. I was there during the Celtic Festival and had a great time. When the cruise ships are docked, there is small vendors open for shopping and I found some great items for purchase. It was easy to get around the city, although at the time of our visit, there was some construction going on, which slowed down the traffic. All in all i would love to come back in the future!!Guest review byKarenCanada - 10
I arrived from the UK around midday at airport.
I arrived from the UK around midday at airport. Called for courtesy bus which arrived quickly. Arrived at hotel around 1pm expecting to have to wait for room. I was able to get into my room right away , which was great as I had been travelling for approximately 16 hours and was tired. Had a quick meal in restaurant which was very good. My family arrived a few hours later and we had a nice meal in the hotel. My grandchildren loved the pool. Will definitely visit again.Guest review byAnonymous - 10

Lunenburg is an historic fishing town on the waterfront settled in the 1700s. It's worth a visit, and not too far from Halifax, Nova Scotia. Walk around the hilly streets for a self-guided tour, as there are signs in front of churches and on several street corners describing the history.Guest review bySallyUnited States - 8.0

Typical small rural town, nice to walk around town, some historic sites. One night stay was just right. Ate at Shore Line restaurant and gift, food was very good ,server was pleasant, patient and helpful. Lots of fires burning in around the areas. Devastation can be seen in pictures, heartbreaking!Guest review bySharonCanada - 10

If you want to feel like you have come home, be warmly greeted wherever you may go, then you will enjoy visiting Antigonish. Home to St Francis Xavier University (St FX), Saint Martha's Hospital, the town is a great base from which to explore hiking, beaches and local arts and crafts in NS.Guest review byDanielleCanada - 8.0
We LOVED our accommodations, the quiet and the beach!
We LOVED our accommodations, the quiet and the beach! Most restaurant food was very good. Loved whale watching and the gondola. Would have like a continental breakfast as there were no restaurants within walking distance. Also, restaurants close too early and many ran out of food so decided to close! 150 people at the pizza place (because no place else was open with availability) on a Sunday wasn’t fun.Guest review byMaryCanada - 6.0
We ate dinner at Le Gabriel Restaurant.
We ate dinner at Le Gabriel Restaurant. There was entertainment Sunday evening at the restaurant. A woman played the fiddle and a man accompanied her on a keyboard. They were excellent. Seafood prices are very high. The place was very busy and the food was good. Getting around Cheticamp is easy. We enjoyed driving along the entire Cabot Trail on Cape Breton Island. The Cape Breton Highlands Provincial Park was closed because of high fire danger.Guest review bylewis
