Everything about the Hotel was excellent. The location was stunning, great parking, well equipped and comfortable room with stunning views. Both the evening meal and breakfast taken outside on a terrace overlooking the lake and alps in the background, were excellent . The staff were excellent too with attentive hosts and Olga the breakfast waitress is an asset, welcomong, friendly, attentive and excellent at her job.

Wonderful, classy, comfortable hotel right outside the Bulle train station (entrance is through the shopping centre with the Migros). The staff is excellent, the breakfast offered tasty, local varieties and was served until late, the suite was very spacious and comfortable and spotlessly cleaned. Having the Migros downstairs open every day until late was also extremely convenient as is the fact that you can take any train or bus right from the doorstep. The centre of the town itself is a mere 6min walk.

It was an honour for me to be lodged in such an old, historical building, thoroughly renovated, very clean, spatious, great location, not far from the old city centre, but safely & silently away. The greatest value possible for the little money, at that price the only other choice is Ibis budget, and here you get huge, comfortable suite in much better location.

I loved everything about my room: the furnitures, the bathroom and the wonderful view. The staff were nice and helpful. The restaurant was also good. I came to Gruyères to visit the H. R. Giger Museum and bar. The hotel is centrally located, only a few steps from the Museum. It was perfect for me. Highly recommended.

Fribourg is not a large town but there are a few very interesting things to do. The museums are quite fantastic and have much to offer. There are many walks including up the hill to the Chapelle de Lorette. As a Catholic town, there are some fascinating relics and history at the local churches. As a bilingual city, its fascinating to hear French, Swiss German, and a decent amount of Italian all at the same time. The food scene is quite nice and not as expensive as other places in Switzerland.

It's a very attractive little lakeside town with a medieval centre, including intact and walkable fortification wall, and lots of nice places to eat. It is well-connected transport-wise for visits to nearby attractions like the roman ruins in Avenches or the (really well-worth visiting) 12th century abbey in Payerne. Lake boats ply daily (in summer) to Neuchatel.

Tiny Gruyères is better suited for a daytime visit than an overnight stay. Food options are pricey and few between, with limited menus and no activities after dark. Better options for your stay would probably be in nearby Bulles.

A quiet town, if you want nightclubs this isn't the place, but has everything most people will need. Trains/buses go from the station down a steep hill from the main street. Romont is a stop on the faster InterRegio SBB trains so getting to/from other parts of Switzerland is easy. Romont has both Coop and Migros/Denners supermarkets. For emergency supplies on Sundays the convenience shop next to the station is a reasonable size. The old walls and tower are worth a look. I spent my days hiking and unfortunately didn't get to the stained glass museum. Gruyeres and the Cailler chocolate factory in Broc short train rides away - I walked off a cheese overdose hiking the fairly short distance from Gruyeres to Broc. A bus ride towards Jaun is worthwhile and the chairlift up the Gastlosen takes you up to some good hiking, and cooler conditions in hot weather. The hike along the leg of the Via Jacobi from Romont to Moudon is an easy 13km but doesn't have much shade so remember the sun screen.

If you don't care about comfortability and cleanliness you can stay there. I usually don't care much about it, but this time it was too much for me. Liked · The hotel is located around 15 mins by bus from the center and 10 mins from the university where I was going to work. The checking was smooth and the next day (I don't know why I didn't receive it during the checking) I was offered a free transport ticket for the city that came in very handy. The room was pretty big, with a nice view of the mountains, and even if I slept with the windows open there was no noise. Disliked · The room wasn't clean: the floor of the room was dusty, the floor of the bathroom had hairs and also dust, the pillows smell used and dusty and the sofa smell of humidity (just like pee, it doesn't affect me much because the room was big and I slept on the other bed). They also left a used toilet paper in the bathroom. When I went to the manager to express these issues he was attentive, however, when I come back to see if the issues were solved he implied it was all my imagination but they were doing their best to comply with me. He also told me that it was normal to have hairs all over the bathroom and that I could use the paper used by someone else because it was the way they do it (I have never heard something like that). When I arrived in the room it was very clean and smelled of soap (except the sofa area), so they really clean it. They changed my pillow and it was a bit better. I tried to use the dryer the last day and it didn't work. I feel like, as a guest, I don't need to worry about receiving the room and the sheets clean, and if I inquire politely about it, I don't like to be shown as extremist or crazy. The hotel is not for free, and I expect what I paid for.

It is a small city but has amazing vibe where diversity meets. I went for business visit and could see lot of people from other countries have settled or visiting this location. The architecture and the city view is amazing. The train station has access to major cities and good enough to stay for a cozy travelers.

Bulle is a lively small Swiss city close to the mountains of Fribourg. The city has a charming old center with a castle and there are several very nice bars and restaurants for drinks and dining. There are some fantastic Asian restaurants (Thai as well as Japanese) that offer delicious food and drinks. And, there are many opportunities for nearby hiking (e.g. around Lac de la Gruyère, or around the "Gastlosen" mountains starting from the Jaun village). Finally, there is the Cailler chocolate factory (in nearby Broc, 10 min by train), that is definitively worth a visit!

Beautiful hilltop medieval town with so-so castle, great views, ambiance, a great cheese manufacturing tour, some lovely hotels, a Tibetan museum, and a museum of the works of the disturbed anti-human artist HR Giger. If you are into easy-moderate hiking, the Callier chocolate factory, or the nearby towns (Broc or Moreson) Mt., it will be worth more than one day. I took a lovely hike to Broc on a trail found in the app, AllTrails. This was very worthwhile.
