- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 224 reviewsPlace which makes you feel rich The best place on Raratonga. It’s located in Muri, just in front of most famous and the most beautiful lagoon of whole island. In Muri there’s night market 4 times a week so if you want to try local food not for “tourist price” that’s the easiest place to go. Market is located 5 minutes on foot from hotel so you don’t have to wait for bus or rent a car just to eat dinner. Two houses away are lagoon cruises departing points so we got every morning a bit of live music for free. Also, around 10 min on foot there’s Te Vara Nui - “island night” entertainment, the only one with stage on water. Beaches on Raro are public but the land in front of them is not so access to beach is a bit tricky if you don’t have accommodation with direct access. This hotel has desk overlooking lagoon and stairs to beach so from your bed you have like 1 minute to beach :) Hotel itself is tiny but that’s its great advantage. It is very private - 5 bungalows for max 2 people, with “only adults” rule and pool just next to beach it makes you feel like you are in place for billionaires, when you actually didn’t have spend that much. Bungalows have huge verandas with chairs and table, where you can have breakfast enjoying ocean or mountain view. Rooms are very spacious, high ceiling with underside of roof open, fan (you really need it to sleep), big comfy bed, love seats just amazing - so comfy I could sleep in them. There’s bathroom on one side and kitchenette on the other, behind bed. There’s everything you need in kitchen if you decide to cook - even mixer to make smoothies from fresh local fruits. I have read in description of the place there would a welcome local fruit if available and I thought it just for show, when actually we got a bowl of local bananas (banana tree was just next to our veranda) and limes. Room is equipped with everything you might need - there’s chair pillows for chairs on veranda and on desk in front of beach.Guest review bycatekociPoland
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 196 reviewsBeachfront room with lovely views over the gardens to the beach and sea. Beautiful in the morning and also benefiting from lovely sunsets. Room well equipped and clean. 2 small pools, one at the cocktail bar, where there is an excellent range of cocktails and drinks at very reasonable prices. Light breakfast provided and evening meal option, which was very good, Also other options within walking distance together with a small bakery across the road. Island bus service stops outside. Staff all friendly and helpful. Overall a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.Guest review byRobertUnited Kingdom
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.5Good - What previous guests thought, 1,149 reviewsThis is literally a little paradise. Greeting was warm and staff are very friendly throughout the whole stay. The room was so clean and beautiful. The whole resort has a true Polynesian ambiance. The beach was like a little gem, with plams and white sand. Water was so warm and amazing turquoise colour. Restaurant had a great selection of seafood dishes and the chef was so good. He could make us some special dishes that weren't on the menu. (Thanks William) We also had a massage session and it was a great experience. (Thanks Mary)Guest review byHaythamEgypt
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 451 reviewsAbsolutely loved having beach access right there and the view is absolutely stunning. A nice, small hotel that makes you feel you have the place to yourself at times. Located close enough to Muri Lagoon but without the noise of families and tourist activities. Except for the occasional beach walker, the beach area was used exclusively by hotel guests. Room was clean and well appointed, friendly hotel staff and a bonus having a restaurant on site.Guest review byWanitaCanada
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 107 reviewsWe loved everything about our stay at Palm Grove. 💕 The staff are amazing, so helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and spacious. The grounds are well maintained, and the pool setting was ideal for our family. Being close to the beach and having use of the kayaks was also a bonus. The Yellow Hibiscus Restaurant meals were all excellent. Thank you.Guest review byLindseyNew Zealand

A beautiful little hotel with great views over the lagoon. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The food was amazing too. Location wise it could not have been better for us with plenty of amenities near to hand with choices to eat out as well. - Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 482 reviewsThe front desk staff was very kind. I didn't understand English, so they used the translation function to explain, made reservations for activities, and sent me to the next accommodation. The cleaning people were also very friendly. The beach is in front of you, the night market is next door, and there is a rental car nearby, so the location is great!Guest review byTANAKAJapan

There is an Oasis directly across the road, a bakery and 21.3 Vaianas a short walk away. Our villa was clean, spacious and homely. Beautiful area where you can get to everything simply by driving. Shipwreck hut in Araroa. Aorangi fish / chips. Palace burgers. Rarotonga bakery. Would highly recommend @Tumutours across the road for an authentic cultural experience, combined with delicious food and entertainment.Guest review byTuiNew Zealand - 10

Had a great time, I worked when there was no wind and went kite boarding when there was. The beaches there are beautiful with three different locations for kiting and a whole island if your not. for kiting, depending on wind direction, any one of them is an awesome place to kite. If you don't kite and you just want an awesome holiday near a beautiful beach, I couldn't recommend it more. Other islands within the Cook Islands offer great options, but cost more. If budget is an issue, then there is plenty to do on Raro and you will still experience the beauty of the tropical islands.Guest review byJasonAustralia - 10
Reflection is a beautiful and relaxing stay.
Reflection is a beautiful and relaxing stay. You have options to cool down from a beautiful private pool or the ocean within a few steps from your doors. Weather was not on my side but that did not stop me from having the best swim ever. I highly recommend this place.Guest review byMrs FataiNew Zealand - 10

We wanted to support local businesses & experience traditional practices. We were able to do this after receiving very good local information from the owner where we stayed. Enjoyable & relaxing holiday.Guest review byWhitiaoNew Zealand - 8.0
This is a good area, it's not to busy with tourist.
This is a good area, it's not to busy with tourist. You might feel your left out from all the fun places. But if you have your own transport or you don't mind using the public transport then your not far from anything at all. Your on the right side of the island for the sunset, go next door and have a drink at the resort bar on the beach while the sun sets in front of you.Guest review byMiro - 10

Beautiful beaches, just be mindful not to swim on Saturdays as it is their Sabbath day (head to Nikau beach on that day 😊) Wigmores is a few minutes away, cheap ice cream and donuts, hot meals too. Bring ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper, the roosters love to serernade the place all day long lolGuest review byStephenAustralia - 10
Rarotonga is a wonderful place for a peaceful family holiday...
Rarotonga is a wonderful place for a peaceful family holiday. We especially enjoyed the fresh sushi (tuna) available at the many small eateries around the island, Taco Tues for Fresh Parrot Fish (soft) Tacos at Kai & Co and the awesome snorkelling and swimming everywhere. Saturday market is also a must visit as was Capt. Tamas and also to get in an island night dinner/show. If you want flexibility, highly recommend you consider hiring a car or bike to allow you to fully explore and stop as you wish.Guest review byAnonymous
