the host Mati and his mother were very warm and welcoming. the first night we arrived late and were able to order a delicious pizza, made by Mati himself. the room was clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast was included and were just the right amount of food to get us started on our day. Mati was very knowledgeable about the area and spoke English fluently. we very much enjoyed meeting them and their adorable dog Lucy!

When I booked a room at the Lodge, I was planning to check-in and then spend the day at the hot springs nearby but the volcano and lake view at the location was so stunningly beautiful that I could find no reason to leave. Our room was large and lovely with an incredible lake view, the hosts hospitable, the breakfast perfect. We only had soup and drinks in the evening but I imagine that the food is fantastic as everything else. I would definitely stay again.

The location on the beach was amazing . The simplicity of the property was charming, comfortable and tranquil. The porch was wonderful and the kayak was an extra bonus! The kitchen had the essential dishes and appliances and all was clean. The bathroom was just right with a nice shower. The bed was comfortable and the heater/ a/c unit was super!
