We stayed only for 6 hours during the day, so we didn't spend a night here. But during the day it was amazing. There were a free shuttle bus from the PEK airport, an absolutely clean room, several zones of light, nice shower, fresh renovation, no noise

Fantastic receptionist, great customer service , welcoming morning buffet staff, and the best shuttle bus service available every 30 minutes. The room was neat and clean. It had all the amenities and toiletries .The room service was excellent. Hotel shuttle bus service from the airport is on departure level . Just exit gate number 4 and wait for your bus. Or contact the hotel before your arrival and ask them of the bus license plate number. This place is about 1.5 hours away from the city center by train, depending on where you're going.

I fell sick during my stay and the room/bed was so comfortable it truly didnt feel bad staying in. The gym was excellent and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The nearest two stations (jianguomen and chaoyanmen) are a distance away, like 15 min away but the path was lined with cherry blossoms while I was there so I enjoyed the walk back. One you hit the stations, the main attractions are few stops away.

Very nice location as it is close to metro, stores and restaurants. it is located in the alley and somewhat give and old town vibe, which i find very interesting and nice. What the hotel offers in the description is valid and reliable. the staff are pleasant and of great help (Leo and fufu) helped me and my mom navigate around the city. they speak english well and the staff we met are very polite and accomodating. The breakfast is also very filling The toilet and room is clean and the bed was really comfortable to sleep in. Our stay was amazing! We were in Beijing to celebrate my birthday and our anniversary and when we arrived in the hotel the staff had made us a little surprise, not only by giving us a stunning room but also decorating it for the occasion! Kevin (the manager) was incredibly nice and Nick (at the reception) was extremely helpful, helping us book all the attractions, as well as a driver for a day trip. On top of this, before arriving we had told them about me being gluten-free, and every morning the chef prepared me a special breakfast, to avoid any cross-contamination and ensure that I was safe. I highly appreciated this attention to detail. Breakfast was very varied and had plenty of European and Asian choices. Additionally, the hotel is located in a great area, with a Starbucks in front, and the best restaurant to eat Pekin Duck two steps away. If we are back in Beijing we are definitely booking this hotel again, I could not recommend enough :)

In a hectic city like Beijing this hotel is great to have as base camp. The location is great, walking distance to a pedestrian shopping street and forbidden city and also a few minutes to the metro (taxis are cheap, but with traffic metro can be more convenient). The suite was great, with all needed amenities (including masks included case of fire emergency, something we never saw before). Breakfast is great, with buffet and some dishes from a menu (included in the price). There’s a large indoor swimming pool. Best however is the staff, always helpful. At arrival we were welcomed outside, we got a room upgrade, and macarons and fruit in the room.

Have stayed in Jianguo Hotel several times before the pandemic. I really liked it, everything was great, the room, the location of the hotel, services. Everything! Well, I came back again for the New Year vocation and again had a pleasant stay! Everything is as it was before, simply great 👍 Above all, I would say that the greatest treasure of this hotel is a team. People who work there and are trying to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Thank you very much 🫰

Spend the time exploring the places of interest, especially forbidden city, we were there for 3 hours. We also tried pottery, and spent about 4 hours at the museum and making a ceramic bowl. It's best for the great wall.

It's best for the great wall. I recommend going to simatai for the sunset, jinshanling for the awe inspiring views and panlong for the untamed wild serenity. To get to panlong, you need to didi or get a car to the bottom, then pay 25rmb to get in. Once at the top, turn right (east). You have to come back the way you came(apparently there is another way down but we couldn't find it). Wear sensible shoes. Miyun isn't easy to get around. Factor in the price of hiring a car into your trip.

the city is easy to get around on your own by taxi or metro. The city feels safe with the police on the street, and the mobile policestations. Even though it a really big city it's soo quiet because of the EV cars, scooters and bicycles. The city has a lot of culture to offer combined with the new modern parts of the city. Beijing is totally worth the trip

Tianjin is very underrated, and at just 30 minutes from Beijing I think it should be more popular. The river, the foreign concessions, and the modern buildings inspired by them, make the city feel very European, and we love wandering around the foreign concessions and the streets of the Wudadao area, getting coffee in the many different cafes. There's also Ancient Culture Street, which isn't ancient but has plenty of culture, the China House which is amazing to see from the outside (haven't been inside yet), the Confucius Temple, the Tianjin Eye, walks along the riverbank... lots to see and do here!

The city is full of small family restaurants, where you can get a good meal for pennies. I'm not talking Michelin quality, but I am talking tasty and filling. Getting around the city is simple; the metro and many major centres have signs in both Chinese script and Chinese English. So long as you keep your wits about you, read the signs carefully, and can navigate, you'll be fine. China has millennia of history and culture, so there's a lot to explore. As usual, plan what you want to do and don't try and do everything. For me, I really enjoyed the National Arts Museum, especially their shop. That shop just happens to serve the best espresso in the city (admittedly, I didn't try every coffee outlet, but...). Remember, China has a very different culture to Europe, so you have to adapt to their way of doing things. Be ready for difference, and adapt to it, even when it's scary, such as crossing the road (which is mad, mad).
