The Family Premier room had a small living room with a sofa bed, large desk and the bedroom was of decent size. The small kitchen was good for heating up or fixing meals. The apartment was really clean and had a nice city view. Breakfast was one of the best I've had. There were fruits, salads, cold items, hot items - both local and continental, as well as live counter for eggs and noodle soup etc. The items changed every day which kept it even more interesting. Nanjing road was 2 mins away, People square station and park around 5 min walk. Bund was around 20 mins by foot. Hotel is in a quieter location, but near most everything. Arrived from Beijing where the are many cultural landmarks to see, which made Shanghai feel a bit flat. The skyscrapers and all the lights are incredibly impressive, but I didn't feel as though there was much to do besides shopping and eating. The view from the Bund is great, but the view from the Pudong side is also nice, especially at night. The metro system really makes it easy to get around the city. The building was very old and poorly maintained. The appearance of the elevators was terrible, and I felt embarrassed in front of my guests. The breakfast was average, and the refills were not done on time. The English proficiency of the hotel staff was very poor and unacceptable. They only accepted Chinese banknotes for the deposit!!! Overall, the hotel was in very poor condition, and this was the last time I booked this hotel. Thank you.Guest review byFarhad
