It started with the welcome we received when we arrived - it was pouring rain and we were with our motorcycles, soaking wet and tired; the lovely gentleman from reception came outside to welcome us and show us where to park so we'll be as close as possible to our room, and brought a trolly with him so that we can carry our stuff to the room. The room was a bit small, but immaculately clean and well equiped. The outdoor area of the hotel is stunning, and beautiful to wander around in, so many flowers and birds and sheep and butterflies. we missed the tours, but had we stayed another day we'd definitely join them. Awesome city. Amazing and friendly people. Lots of places to visit and have fun. Many activities, attractions to find out and enjoy. Food is always fresh, clean and great tasting. Safety is a priority. We can walk at any time with no problems and or fear. Public transportation and platform are available and it is cheap. Victor meet us upon arrival with a beautiful smile and made us feel very welcome. The home is absolutely beautiful, private, well maintained. The pool was clean, as well as all the outside amenities. We really enjoyed a night time swim and even placed some water basketball. Victor's aunt lives on property and was a very pleasant lady and treated us very well. You can tell that Victor wants only the best for his guests. Take note that La Dorada is has a very hot climate and only the master bedroom is air conditioned. But has excellent fans through out the entire house. Which was fine for us being from Florida USA. We saw a lot of the town and believe that staying here is the best of all options. My partner lives in Dosquebradas but has family in Salamina. Almost every time I come to see him in Dosquebradas, we get a car and drive the 3 hours to Salamina. I just love the drive through the countryside. Part of the drive is modern tollroads, but then the fun begins. And being a flatlander from Chicago, I can barely keep my eyes on the road looking at all the beutiful mountains and the various colors of green that exist everywhere, Once instead of returning directly to Dosqubradas we continued the adventure drive to Santa Fe de Antioquia. The Place was a very clean, open green space, all housed within a secure compound. There were plenty of seating to relax, good wifi and important to us: Secure motorcycle parking onsite within the compound. The host was super helpful and patient with our questions.
