- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 140 reviewsThis is a lovely place with a private deck on the ocean. It is coral, so not a beach for swimming - but Playa Negra is a beautiful black sand beach a mere 10 minute walk away - excellent for swimming. We had the air conditioned rooms with floor to ceiling windows looking out at the jungle and ocean as well as a lovely swimming pool. The back courtyard not only a few steps from the ocean, but also full of hammocks and wildlife, daily visits from howler monkeys and tons of birds. A beautiful place to relax. The breakfast was delightful, the staff friendly and helpful. Very clean and very close to everything in town. Many delicious restaurants within 5 minutes walk. The national park, hiking and snorkeling all within a few minutes walk. We LOVED this place and can't wait to go back.Guest review byBetsyUnited States
- From $135.60 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.7Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 270 reviewsWe loved everything about Oasi! From the moment we arrived till we left, the owners were so friendly and helpful, gave us lots of suggestions about the National Park, restaurants in the area, trying to organize a fishing trip. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Beautiful garden. We would definitely stay here again in our next trip!!!Guest review byMakikoCanada
- From $73.45 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 405 reviewsExceeded all expectations. Thank you to the staff for all their help. Beautiful well maintained grounds. We saw more animals in the yard than in a national park. Lots of hummingbirds, a raccoon came between 10am and 11, and a family of Capuchin monkeys came every day around 2pm. It was a lot of fun to watch them.Guest review byElenaNetherlands

Costa Rica, for those who prefer nature as a concept not to...
Costa Rica, for those who prefer nature as a concept not to be endured too long, and with minimal discomfort. I can't speak to other parts of the country but the Caribbean coast is not a place for real travelers. Go to Honduras or Guatemala instead.Guest review bySeanCanada - 6.0
The area in Cahuita we stayed at was ok, I wouldn't go back.
The area in Cahuita we stayed at was ok, I wouldn't go back. But we visited Puerto Viejo, that town is definitely great. Lots going on there, beautiful beaches, lots of restaurants, etc. A happy place. But not Cahuita.Guest review byBeckyUnited States - 10.0
Cahuita is a hidden gem.
Cahuita is a hidden gem. It’s a small, quiet peaceful place to stay that is near to Puerto Viejo, but without the noise. The beaches and wildlife were wonderful, and we loved visiting Cahuita National Park. There is a bus stop in Cahuita which goes to Puerta Viejo. We loved eating at many of the local restaurants. They were all good.Guest review byAnonymous
