I recently stayed at this hotel together with my work colleagues, and we were all very pleased with the experience. The rooms were spotlessly clean and well-maintained, which made our stay very comfortable. The dining area was absolutely beautiful – a perfect place to enjoy breakfast and relax after a day of activities. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay, always ready to assist with a smile. Another highlight was the location – the surrounding area is stunning and offered a peaceful atmosphere that made the trip even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling with a group or looking for a relaxing getaway!

I loved the central location, the clean and cosy rooms, the lounge area with the fresh water station, and super friendly staff. The city itself is well worth a visit and I would absolutely stay here again if I return. The art on the walls and cute, small details really were the cherry on top.

    Such a tranquil location and accommodation was perfect. Buffet breakfast was sumptuous ... even able to pack a picnic since hotel provided paper wrapping and carrier bags! Room kitted out with kettle and complimentary herbal teas and bottled water. Bathrobes were fabulous! Staff were so engaging and welcoming; with tips and advice on local places of interest. We received a Token for a free drink too!

    This city is undersold on the tourist trail.

    This city is undersold on the tourist trail. There is so much history and aesthetic glory packed into this small but ancient (730 yo) little city. The history that was played out in the Schloss alone would be enough to warrant a visit but the rest of the town is another history lesson, with many of the houses/buildings dating back 500 years. Except for the Karstadt abomination, the Altstadt is a harmonious collection of charming Kraftwerkhäuse (Tudor style houses) with names of owners and other anecdotes and words of wisdom painted on the cross-beams in Altdeutsch (old German). We did a walking tour which I can highly recommend. Our guide really brought the Altstadt alive. The parks and green surrounds make for a lovely escape into nature, including the herb garden. We were four in our group, and each of us felt 2 1/2 days did not do Celle justice, that we would have to return for a second bite of the cherry. PS The ladies' fashion shops are also wonderful.

    Soltau has at least two excellent destinations for travellers. For good shopping, visit the Designer Outlet and for fun, visit the Heide Park! Additionally, you can take a short drive to Serengeti Park (some 40 kilometres) and enjoy a wonderful wildlife experience!

    Generally in expectations of activities offered, you get what you expect. Everything is in close proximity and it is easy to get around. It does not seem to be very busy though. Maybe some kind of events could help.

    I write this as a warning to all travelers.

    I write this as a warning to all travelers. The stay was awful, the bed was broken and when we informed the owner they said it was all normal so we ended up sleeping on the floor because the bed was broken. we came up and argued with them because they also won't give our money back and flabbergasted at us, which is not how you should treat your guests. we so much considered reporting them to the police because they made our stay so bad. But I do not want such a stay for others who expect what is shown in the picture, that you should not order here. everything in the picture is fake and is not the same as in the picture. So I hope you will all heed this warning because I don't wish you what happened to us and apparently it is normal for them to sleep in a broken bed. Furthermore, there is no view as stated on the website.

    Walsrode is a quiet town with a couple of animal based attractions (a bird park and a 'Serengeti' park). There are a few places to eat in the town but the 2 restaurants in the East of the town get booked very quickly.

    We drove from Malaga in Spain to Sweden. The positioning of this area suited our driving hours/per day plan of 7 to 8 hours from previous hotel. So we were just 'passing through and stayed in a hotel where we could have dinner, sleep and then carrty on the next morning
