Update: i had not enough time to write more so doing it right now: Room: small 2 person room but very comfortable with nice large bed and well equipped bathroom. Food: i had a chance to stay for breakfast only but I think it was enough to have some opinion about it. Well, food quality is awesome: everything is really tasty, fresh and well served. Comparing to 4 star hotel in Amsterdam I think cook and staff in Hotel Haus Duden should receive 6 stars just for food. Parking spaces: plenty, considering size of this hotel. Placement: Nice quiet area, all surrounded by trees and silence. Really place I would like to come back for rest and charge up again. Hotel offer bike rent, massage and has plenty of space to organize trainings, conferences , etc. Everything at countryside, far away from city noise with comfort and kindness of staff. it was 2 nights stay in Kevelaer and on the 2nd day dedicated to worship GOD by participating 2x the holy masses, 1x rosary pray, visit the main church , in between lunch in e the Golden Swan restaurant, which is very good taste. in Parkhotel we got the simple buffet breakfast, but it is satisfied not a lavished one of course . Authentic, German experience with little or no tourists.Charming town, old architecture, pedestrian streets. Many friendly, non English -speaking people. Slow pace of life, many bicycles, retired people. Forest walks, (favourite place: Stadwald forest and lake with beergarden wth fabulous food) Also nice is Cosmopolitan garden irestaurant in Krefeld centre with a variety of dishes including Indian (Sri Lankan chef). One night in this hotel was plenty.
One night in this hotel was plenty. It feels like a detention centre. Weeze town is only a couple of km away with much prettier hotels that may have some facilities. Best deal did not even have vending machines for snacks or refreshments, and without a car its difficult to get to weeze. Wonderful little hotel about 20mins from Weeze airport. Great staff very helpful and room and breakfast was just perfect. The only downside was the main train line to Düsseldorf was under maintenance so we had to replan our journey but hotel helped with advice.Guest review bydanielUnited Kingdom
