We only stayed overnight on this trip, but Cologne was very busy with crowds everywhere. A lot of stag and hen do's. We have stayed in Cologne before for the Christmas markets, The first time was wonderful, magical even. We went back some years later and it was horrendous. So crowded, you couldn't move for people and were being constantly pushed. Cologne at Christmas has become a victim of its own success. Having said that Cologne is a wonderful city with plenty to see and do. I would think that probably the best time to visit would be Spring or Autumn.Guest review byOwenUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Duesseldorf is an amazingly beautiful city.
Duesseldorf is an amazingly beautiful city. If you like to party it is obviously good for that as well since the bar scene seems to go all night long during the week. I'm no longer into the bar scene I just know that when I had to leave at 3am to catch my flight they were all still going strong on a Tuesday night. Besides that the architecture and the river scenes are amazing!!!Guest review bybruceUnited States - 10.0

Checked in on the Friday and visited the Signal Iduna Park for their game against Leverkusen, then visited the zoo on Saturday and spent Sunday walking around the centre and the national football museum. Everyone is friendly and getting around is easy with the tubes and buses.Guest review byVernonUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Bonn has not been bombed during WWII, therefore it has the largest well-conserved late 19th century urban area in Germany (Suedstadt). To be mentioned also, the Poppelsdorf Schloss and its wonderful restaurant situated within the Botanical Garden, the Poppelsdorfer Allee and the beautiful Rhine promenade in easy reach.Guest review byUrsula - 10.0

We loved the city, pretty and interesting, amazing to experience the amazing network of cycle paths around city on the beautiful tree lined promenade and out of city with pretty route along Dortmund Ems canal. The city has a lovely relaxed and calm vibe still with plenty going on.Guest review byHelenUnited Kingdom - 8.0

I know Aachen well and it is our favourite place to stop over during a long drive from the UK to Austria, and returning. It is full of history with many places of interest and a wide variety of attractions for all ages. It has changed over the decades we have been coming here, so there is sadness as well as delight as changes occur, but that is life too. I would recommend it to anyone who is facing a long journey and seeks a break point because of its location and access for drivers and families, especially pet owners. There is a wide variety of restaurants and parks to revive yur spirits.Guest review byBarker - 6.0
It is an industrial city.
It is an industrial city. The pedestrian area and "Bermuda Triangle" were very nice. We went to visit family so it was more of that than any sort of sightseeing. Have been there a few times and always enjoyed the city.Guest review byMonicaAustria - 10.0

Landschaft park is brilliant.. free and very interesting...history of the blast furnace and you can climb all over it... Nice that they preserve such an historical site. A big shopping centre (Forum) with some really good places to eat. We are in Asia in the Forum... great value for money (19 eur for 2 meals) and another day we ate from the kebab shop opposite the Asia... Both times, excellent food and reasonably priced.Guest review byReidNetherlands - 8.0

Don’t expect a regular hotel, this is a ground floor 2 bed apartment which we were unaware of when we booked….however it ticked all our boxes for an overnight stay. No complaints here. Overall a good apartment with extras.Guest review byIvorUnited Kingdom - 2.0
Definitely not a 4-star hotel.
Definitely not a 4-star hotel. First of all, the room lacked basic amenities: no safe for valuables, no closet for clothes, no phone to contact reception, and not even a simple shower cap. A lot of rooms have broken AC and broken lights in the bathroom. Reception people are very slow and helpless. You need to walk from 4th floor to ground floor if any issues as no phone to call reception. They say call on mobile but as foreigner people we must pay for call which is ridiculous because they do not provide service that should be. Do not follow up on what promissed to guests. At checkout, they offered a 20% refund due to all the inconvenience, but we never received it, and no one responded to follow-up messages when we approached them about when we get refund back. Extremely unprofessional. We will never return and will strongly advise others to avoid this place.Guest review byVera van den BergNetherlands
