They really go all out trying to please their guests. Our room was quiet and wonderful all around. The breakfast provided impressive choice and the quality of the food was outstanding. They offer free welcome drinks. It was so good there that we decided to extend our stay there.

The location was perfect to get to and from where we needed to go. Also last minute stays were accommodated with no issues. The staff were very friendly. Rooms were cleaned and enough towels for all to stay. Highly recommend this place to stay.

The building is beautiful, and I imagine it must be even more enjoyable during the summer. We were lucky to have the hotel almost to ourselves, so we practically had a private spa where our 3-year-old son could play freely in the pool. The room was also very comfortable and quiet. Big points for the staff, who were always polite and willing to help.

The young lady at the Reception Desk when we checked out was also very helpful and pleasant. Our room was especially beautiful and very comfortable. We also thought the Breakfast Room was lovely and we enjoyed our breakfast there. All staff at this hotel deserve commendations for their kind attention to ensuring Guest satisfaction.

    This was my 2nd trip to Kaiserslautern, I absolutely love it there. The people are so nice. Alot.of people speak English so the language barrier isn't a problem. Its a great central hub to explore lots of Germany and Europe. The surrounding areas are Beautiful.

    Although a brief visit we were in Speyer to specifically visit the Technik Museum both there and in Sinsheim about a 45 minute drive away. Would thoroughly recommend a visit to these museums, something there for all ages and very family friendly. With the day finishing off with a fine meal at the Restaurant and Biergarten Alter Hammer by the Rhine good food, great service can say no moor

    If you have business in Mannheim, I would recommend not...

    If you have business in Mannheim, I would recommend not staying in Ludwigshafen am Rhein. Sure they are only separated by the Rhein river but things could have been much easier in my case if I had found property in Mannheim. Do not take my word for it though, try it for yourself.

    The Achat Hotel is awesome in every way, the location is just 2 minutes walk from the train station and the bus station. You have almost everything around, shops, restaurants, church, post office, etc. The staff are fantastic, they speak English and patiently listen to their clients, they give you all information you request for to visit the village. I highly recommend this hotel, it is also very neat. I will suggest that they should add electric kettle and coffee mugs in the rooms though I think I was told that there was a coffee machine somewhere but I didn't search for it, I prefer having tea or coffee in my room whenever I want without going out to get some. Apart from that, I so much love the Achat hotel at Neustadt an winestrasse

    There was lots to explore here. We enjoyed the Biergartens. Be sure to have euros on hand because a lot of establishments didn't except card payments. You could easily walk this city which is really nice.

    Quiet historical working centre surrounded by autumnal parks and spaces that follow line of former ramparts. Easy to explore on foot and short stroll from station. Fascinating architecture and good links to explore surrounding region. A number of small museums. Eat in the Greek, the Viergarten Restaurant and neighbouring pub. Nice cafe food for lunch . New theatre just establishing itself for shows .

    Plan to park outside the city center due to ongoing construction, some roads closed or have detours. Buy your food at the grocery stores or plan to eat at restaurants and do so early. The town closes up kind of early for my taste. Feel pretty safe to walk the lighted streets around town.

    The city itself of Kaiserslautern is teeming with life downtown, and it's got plenty to do for fun and delicious food within a 15 minute walk from most hotels. Just don't cheap out on where you stay or you can get seriously jipped. We ate the best sushi I've had in Germany and visited the japanese garden. Very cool experience. Plus we walked through the square near the Saks hotel and shopped at the pop up farmer's market there.

    Beutiful city, restaurants with decent food, but rude service even though we comunicate in German. It was very clear that the locals (including the bussineses) are not happy with turists. I suspect even more hostility if you speak only English.

    Ludwigshafen am Rhein is one of the ugliest cities in...

    Ludwigshafen am Rhein is one of the ugliest cities in Germany. It was built around the chemical plant of BASF with 60 thousand employees. They are tearing down the Rathaus Center and Berliner Platz looks like after a bombing. The raised highways are also partially removed and the Rhine bridges have to be repaired. The main shopping street has 1 Euro Shops, closed shops and other stuff. Terrible. But it's always worth to go there when you have old friends there. No matter how ugly the town is, I will return. The best thing is the BASF wine cellar in Anilinstrasse they have amazing wines.
