- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.8Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 264 reviewsThis place was a fantastic find. The location is perfect—quiet and peaceful, yet very close to Zumaia, Getaria, and Zarautz. The building is a beautiful old house full of charm, surrounded by a lovely garden. I especially enjoyed the cosy terrace, great for breakfast and dinner or just relaxing with a coffee and checking emails. My room was very nice—comfortable, clean, and with easy access from the outside stairs. The host, Ramón, is incredibly friendly and welcoming, as is the rest of the staff. Breakfast was stunning—delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. Overall, excellent value for money. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.Guest review byAndreasSwitzerland

Santiago was the Emerald City at the end of my adventure on the Yellow Brick Road of the Camino de Santiago! There was such a wonderful community of people (pilgrims and tourists), music, many, many restaurants and so many shops. Santiago was easy to navigate although there are lots of tiny twisty roads and ups and down hills. And the cathedral is breathtaking!Guest review byMomoUnited States - 8.0
A very nice and clean city.
A very nice and clean city. The Old Town was very busy during the evenings, with plenty of bars and Pintxos places to eat. Did the 2 hour boat trip but it wasn't very interesting (loads of views of derelict buildings and industry!). Did the Hop Hop Off bus tour which was good to get a quick view of the city. Did a Pintxos and drinks organised evening tour of 5 bars in the Old Town and would highly recommend it (thanks, Irene!). Visited the outside of the Guggenheim Museum but not being a modern art fan, didn't think it was worth spending £25 to visit inside, Would suggest that 4/5 days max is needed to see everything.Guest review byPeterUnited Kingdom - 8.0

overall nice town to visit, get ready to walk alot, taxi doesnt give priority to travelers only to locals.. so its normal to wait over 30 or 40 mins for taxi. very clean city,,, felt safe,, everything is walking distance,,, overall some locations you must use taxi,,, private taxi are very expensive.Guest review byAnonymous - 10

Very nice city. It isn't big and can be walked through.
Very nice city. It isn't big and can be walked through. All districts that we visited were tidy, with good architecture and style. Really beautiful streets and architecture, traditional and modern at the same time. Recommend to visit: - San Francisco (central) park - not big, but proposes a good walk. - Catedral de San Salvador - it brings impression. Also nice walking around through older streets, whose squares are the centers of evening entertainment. - Oviedo Congress and Exhibitions Center - very impressive with its size and design. I was shocked encountering such a stylish giant in a city that small. - Sacred Heart of Jesus Monument - the monument itself is nice, but mostly interesting (at least for me) for its amazing view - the whole city can be observed from here, mountain views, your site can even reach the ocean and Gijon. Also there are several points of interest nearby moving back to the city. If you travel with a child, the playgrounds are also fine here. My daughter enjoyed zip lines a lot which are quite common here.Guest review byMikhailRussia - 10
I was pleased with my time in Arzua. I was tired.
I was pleased with my time in Arzua. I was tired. It was a long hard walk with a 40 lb pack on my back, so reaching Arzua and having a clean comfortable bed with a private bathroom and the promise of a hearty breakfast the next morning was a bonus. Also I learned that I could have someone courier my back pack to my next destination was a very welcome piece of news.Guest review byPamelaCanada - 8.0

O Pedrouzo is a small town on the way to El Camino De Compostela. We only needed to stay one night and that was enough. I'm not sure if there were much to do in town. We tried two restaurants El Bule and Galaicos that serve traditional Galician food. Prices were fair and food was good.Guest review byJuan - 10

This resort in Asturias was unknown to us. A wonderful traditional holiday town, which has been welcoming guests for well more than a century. The ambiance was great, the walks and beaches fantastic and the restaurants and bars excellent. To be recommended.Guest review byNigelFrance - 6.0

It's a pretty medieval town, and I read that they control development, yet it still allows souvenir shops! It suffers in the way all pretty touristy places do: not many decent places to eat at a reasonable price. After one evening looking around we used the hotel as a base to travel to other places. I'd recommend a day visit at most.Guest review byPeterUnited Kingdom - 10

Zarautz is an impossibly quaint, clean, and beautiful town with one of the best surfing beaches in Spain, and possibly Europe. It is a town that is so picturesque it could be in its own movie. The shops are beautiful and tasteful. The restaurants serve some of the best food I've ever tasted. And the beach is huge and absolutely stunning. Everywhere you turn you are rewarded by a beautiful view.Guest review byMarkUnited States
