- From US$198.85 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 1,767 reviewsJust driving into the Hotel was an instant pleasure. You just know you are going to really like your stay. Nothing afterwards contradicted it. The facilities and the standard of presentation of them is top class. We wished we had more time to have taken advantage of the Spa, it really was high class and very inviting. Reception were very helpful and explained where we could park and charge our car. Something more Hotels should take note of, a big plus these days. A nice enough restaurant and OK menu. Room was well appointed and very comfortable. Bathroom of a very high standard.Guest review byAshleyUnited Kingdom
- From US$198.85 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 2,236 reviewsThe old building (former university) is really spectacular, with a great covered inner patio. Our room was huge (maybe a bit dark) and the service flawless. Wonderful breakfast, and evening restaurant is also absolutely recommended. The "Baudelio" bath is quite a unique experience, a perfect copy of the San Baudelio hermitage .... (the only pity is a weird and complicated system of admission: you have to follow kind of a ritual; I would have preferred some explanation about the bath).Guest review bySamuelSwitzerland

It’s located within a restored abbey from the XII century with only 30 rooms and a lot of privacy. Personnel is looking after you from minute 1 and are extremely polite. Finally, we have been doing wine tasting around the world for years and this has been the best experience by far. We will be back!!Guest review byEricUnited Kingdom

Leon is a tad touristy but still retains some of Europes most beautiful Archtecture not least of which is the Cathedral of course - built with a population supposedly around 5000 leaves one in awe at what was built … and where the money came from . The modern side will entertain the shopaholics ( you know who you are !) but the cultural bit can be done in a few days with ease . Restaurants cater for all .Guest review byAnonymous - 2.0
Disgusting place. Rude person on the desk. Parking?
Disgusting place. Rude person on the desk. Parking? Forget it. A garage shared by the entire old building with spaces too small for any modern car. The front desk person has to walk ahead of you and point out the space you must park in - disgusting. That is my only way to describe this hotel from hell.Guest review byCatherinePortugal - 10.0
It's a beautiful city with a huge history.
It's a beautiful city with a huge history. It is so relaxing and interesting. We weren't looking for nightlife - but there were so many local bars that were much more fun. We were 5 minutes' walk from Plaza Mayor and less than 10 minutes from the house where Miguel de Cervantes (Don Quixote author) lived and also the surprisingly interesting Museums of Sculptures (you need to stick with it to see the whole thing: ra-ra-ra promotion is not a strong point for Valladolideros(?) - e.g. they could make a fortune impulse-selling Don Quixote dual-language books but there were none to be found.) It's also a great base for touring the Ribera del Duero.Guest review byBrendanIreland - 10.0

The Cathedral & city walls are magnificent. There are plenty of 3 *** & 4 **** hotels & restaurants. There are also lots of cheaper places to eat & drink. Try the Posada de la Fruta, Plaza Pedro Davila for lovely ambience & service.Guest review bySIMONUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Segovia is beautiful with a number of historic sites and places to stop and rejuvenate. I highly recommend the cafe in front of the Alcazar which has the most wonderful terrace at the back with spectacular views.Guest review byOonagh - 10.0

Ponferrada seems a really nice city. We didn’t get time to visit the castle or cathedral but our friend did and she said both are really great and well worth a visit. Loads of restaurants and places to eat.Guest review bySEANUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The hotel was in a good location although not easy to find and there wasn’t free parking on the site. Not far from the restaurants and near the river with a nice walk. We only stayed overnight enroute on our journey. We have stayed at nh hotels before and find them very comfortable and clean.Guest review byJohnUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I wanted to visit Soria because of the nearby archeological site of Numancia. I had read El Cerco de Numancia by Cervantes as a student and remembered the site. The Museo Numantino in Soria has fascinating artifacts from the archeological site and other locations in the area. Wonderful Roman glass, pottery, jewelry and sculptures. In addition, Soria is a lovely medieval small city well-worth a visit away from more crowded tourist locations such as Barcelona and San Sebastian...Guest review byMichelleUnited States - 10.0

If you are a fan of Gaudi's architecture , a lover of history, or a Camino Pilgrim, then this town is a must for a couple of days visit. The old city is easy to navigate on foot. The chocolate museum is also worthwhile if your time allows. If we were traveling by car then I think we should have liked to stay an additional night and explore some of the surrounding area. As it was we were slowly making our way by bus from Santiago de Compostella to fly out of Madrid after having walked the Portuguese Camino.Guest review byTraceyAustralia
