- From $123.17 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 2,507 reviewsExtremely charming castle. The rooms have a castle-like feel, which is what I was looking for. I don’t want to enter a castle and have my room be like the Hilton. The castle is just amazing, as is the breakfast and dinner, abundant. A rustic feel, but so confortable and charming. And the different halls in the castle are decorated with the most amazing old furnishings and decorations. Many medieval-like places to hang out.Guest review byJasonUnited States

We went to the Rioja wineries during the day and then spent leisure time in the thermal circuit in the hotel's spa. At night we took a stroll at the old town. The location is perfect, an the building is beautiful. The rooms are clean and have plenty of space. The staff was kind and helpful. Breakfast was very good.Guest review byJaimeUnited States

We stayed in the Old Town in central Leon and it was fantastic. Beautiful plaza’s around most corners and wonderful buildings of Gaudi and Leon Cathedral which are amazing. Food and drink very cheap and most bars provide a tapas with every drink.Guest review bySEANUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Conveniently located hotel for a stopover. All modern rooms and our room very comfortable to stay. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. There is an attached cafeteria and restaurant so no need to go elsewhere.Guest review byAnwarUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Valladolid surprises.
Valladolid surprises. At face value it doesn't match up to its illlustrious neighbours, but it reveals itself as you stay longer. There are many monuments, multiple and varied churches, parks, 2 outdoor pools, a riverside swimming beach, and it is where Christopher Columbus spent his last days (check out the museum). Don't expect English to be widely spoken and tours and museums are nearly all in Spanish. Plenty of dining options and adequate shopping. I wouldn't say the populace embraces visitors, but then again they don't spray them with water pistols either.Guest review bymarkUnited Kingdom - 10.0
The Cathedral & city walls are magnificent.
The Cathedral & city walls are magnificent. There are plenty of 3 *** & 4 **** hotels & restaurants. There are also lots of cheaper places to eat & drink. Try the Posada de la Fruta, Plaza Pedro Davila for lovely ambience & service.Guest review bySIMONUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I have been to Segovia many times and I do not tire of my time there. The city is so beautiful and full of so much history which has affected so much of the North American landscape we know today. Thanks to Queen Isabel of Spain who granted Columbus his 3 ships we now have the America we know. All this in Segovia!!! I was born in Madrid but my mother's side are Segovianos. I am very proud of this heritage!Guest review byLiviaCanada - 10.0

Ponferrada seems a really nice city. We didn’t get time to visit the castle or cathedral but our friend did and she said both are really great and well worth a visit. Loads of restaurants and places to eat.Guest review bySEANUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The hotel was in a good location although not easy to find and there wasn’t free parking on the site. Not far from the restaurants and near the river with a nice walk. We only stayed overnight enroute on our journey. We have stayed at nh hotels before and find them very comfortable and clean.Guest review byJohnUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I wanted to visit Soria because of the nearby archeological site of Numancia. I had read El Cerco de Numancia by Cervantes as a student and remembered the site. The Museo Numantino in Soria has fascinating artifacts from the archeological site and other locations in the area. Wonderful Roman glass, pottery, jewelry and sculptures. In addition, Soria is a lovely medieval small city well-worth a visit away from more crowded tourist locations such as Barcelona and San Sebastian...Guest review byMichelleUnited States - 10.0

If you are a fan of Gaudi's architecture , a lover of history, or a Camino Pilgrim, then this town is a must for a couple of days visit. The old city is easy to navigate on foot. The chocolate museum is also worthwhile if your time allows. If we were traveling by car then I think we should have liked to stay an additional night and explore some of the surrounding area. As it was we were slowly making our way by bus from Santiago de Compostella to fly out of Madrid after having walked the Portuguese Camino.Guest review byTraceyAustralia
