    I practically never write reviews, but this place truly deserves it! 🙌🏻 It was a real escape from the hustle and bustle of city life—starting with the journey to the hotel. A tiny serpentine road winds into the mountains, passing through a beautiful forest straight out of a fairytale. The views were breathtaking, the rooms spacious, the food excellent, and the atmosphere incredibly romantic—calm and quiet. I slept like a baby. I absolutely loved that breakfast was served in the room—no need to rush in the morning. Just wake up and enjoy the moment with your partner. We stayed for two nights but wished we had booked a bit longer. The staff went above and beyond to take care of all our needs, even after we checked out. They managed to secure a reservation for us at a three-star Michelin restaurant—something we thought was impossible!

    Pamplona is a beautiful old town but in can be done in a day . One or two nights is sufficient unless you have a car to be able to visit surroundings or you are there during the festival .     After 6 days of passing through very small towns on the Camino Aragones, Puente la Reina had a nice buzz and plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants. There were some lovely churches and old buildings and of course the 11th century bridge is beautiful and a stunning historic monument.

    Beautiful city and people. It is a Jewel in Camino de Santiago. The best is just walk through the streets and get lost finding all amazing historical treasures this city offers. From its magnificent Church of Santa María (with so many treasures including the burial of Cesra Borgia), but with its amazing welcoming flare, wee you can find a place to sit to pray, admire or just have a moment of solace and peace. The Plaza Mayor, the old Walls and Church, the Monastery, the houses and their balconies, the restaurants and the vibrant life in the Calle Mayor.

    Olite is a very charming and unspoiled by tourism. The attraction in this town is the castle, which is spectacular. There are a few churches that are quite historic. Don't expect a lot of shops and bustling. The main plaza empties out at 8 pm. if you want to visit a vineyard make an appointment because they are not open to the public.

The historic centre has all the charm and architectural interest you'd find in Italy or neighbouring France - with a food scene to match. We enjoyed the best pintxos of our trip of the Basque region in the cobbled streets of Pamplona at Bar Amatxo - even compared with the more 'gastronimic' San Sebastian. I don't think you could go too far wrong in any of the restaurants or bars, but the experience at Katuzarra was sublime - probably the finest beef flllet I've ever tasted.
