- From US$239.16 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 995 reviewsThe tented beachfront Queen Bure 18 was a magical beautiful comfortable place to stay with the sound of the ocean and the wind in the palm trees. Our trip was Oct 16-20 2024 and we had ideal weather and perfect conditions for snorkeling except for one afternoon when it rained heavily for 3 hours and it was damp in the Bure that day. I would probably avoid the rainy season November to March. The snorkeling was spectacular right from the beach except for the boat channel sections. There is often a free guided snorkel which is highly recommended. The most beautiful section is between manta beach and sunrise beach, far out from shore just before the drop off into deeper water. The sea was calm and visibility was excellent. If it’s not too windy you can snorkel from sunset beach at high tide, go out to the drop off, then snorkel to the right, snorkel past manta beach, then to sunrise beach where you can exit via the boat channel, this takes about 45 minutes. Huge variety of coral and fish, amazingly beautiful. You can also scuba dive. We heard and read that Barefoot Manta Resort has the best snorkeling in all of Fiji and it seems true. Look at the underwater photos at barefootmantaresort.com; it really does look like that, incredibly healthy beautiful reef. Four marine biologists work at this resort and build the reef by planting more coral. Many sections are sheltered from the wind due to the bays and the channel between the islands, allowing the coral to thrive. We were fortunate to snorkel with the Manta Rays on one of our 5 mornings here. The rest of the time and the previous 2 weeks they were not there. The best time to reliably see the mantas is apparently June-July. The staff are super friendly and fun and they all seem to sing in addition to their regular jobs. The food and entertainment were great. The hike up to the viewpoints was great. The free wifi in the lobby and dining area worked well most of the time.Guest review byKatharinaCanada
- From US$95.23 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 553 reviewsWe did a long tour of all islands in the Yasawas, and Paradise Cove is on a short list of the very best. Of course, as it is a higher end resort, expectations were also high, but the place met them easily. The property is located on a beautiful island where the beach and water entry / water level is just perfect, regardless of high tide / low tide. One thing they don't say and they should advertise is the amazing coral reef they have just steps in the water. This was easily comparable with things we saw on boat trips. So definetlly a very big plus. Then the restaurants, they have two, and we loved them both . Magic breakfasts at the main restaurant in the gentle sun light or romantic dinners at Donu . Unforgetable memories . The team has some of the best people we met in Fiji and we felt very welcomed. Special greetings to Nebz , hope you get the message, the first steps with Scuba were very helpful, thank you.Guest review byRaduRomania
- From US$173.50 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 493 reviewsDifficult to say. All. The location is a paradise. We had a wonderful beachfront palm villa with two bedrooms, fantastic open air bathroom with two showers, very spacious bedrooms, living space... We had our own patio and reserved sunbeds by the beach. The resort is very nice and the coral reef in the lagoon mind blowing. Meals arrangements in two restaurantd are super good. We loved, literally loved, the japanese spot. In the morning 10 choices to pick 2 tapas style and in the night for dinner 10 small plates, high cuisine. Extraordinary. The other restaurant front beach also very nice with music by night. Excursions organised by the resorts to snorkeling and to a cave we loved it. Great, great time, highly recommendable.Guest review byMariannaAustria

The staff at Mantaray Island Resort, with their kindness and enthusiasm, added an extra layer of charm to our unforgettable experience!! Their friendliness, whether it was arranging activities or simply spending time with us, allowed us to create a genuine bond with them. It exceeded my expections: from spa treatments to cocktails, diverse activities to dining, everything about this resort was truly incredible. I wholeheartedly recommend the Mantaray Island Resort and thank you again to the lovely staff.Guest review byChloeFrance

We wanted a homestay run by locals, so we got an authentic experience. No roads, no cars, only walking tracks and hiking trails. Wonderful. They are isolated, so no shop, I would recommend taking sachet coffees etc if you like more than instant. If you get inspired to want to help them (as I was) you could think of taking snorkelling flippers and leaving them there, or packraft paddles (they come apart), or a yoghurt maker and powder packets to make yoghurt. Some books, games, or big maps of Yasawa. We had a week, which was just right....but didn't get to do all the activities we intended to. Too nice being relaxed and even lazy. The ferry ride there is fun and interesting and they supply complimentary transfers to and from accommodation. South Sea Cruises. Apparently there is a supply boat from Lautoka once a week which is much cheaper.Guest review byRowenaNew Zealand - 10

Gorgeous island - beautiful beaches, coral reef, and the island itself is lovely - you can go on a mountain forest walk as well as be on the beach. Delicious food, and lots of activities - we enjoyed the mountain walks, the beaches, diving, snorkelling and also just relaxing by the pool, trying out the yoga classes and massages and also the trips to the nearby local villages.Guest review byGaliaAustralia - 10

This is a very special place, great location, peaceful, quiet, clean and easy to get to - perfect for taking a break, relax and recharge from the usual busyness of life! The resort offers great views of the ocean, one of the best sunset we have seen, clean white sandy beach, local food and culture experiences, snorkeling, handline fishing, swimming with Manta rays and many other activities. Most importantly, you will be taken great care of by an incredible team of staff led by Paul and Liti. Special thanks to Nimi, Peci, Anne, Rusi, Fane, Sai, Api, Lai, John, Rauga and La. We miss you all and looking forward to be back soon ❤️😊Guest review bySanaeNew Zealand - 10

The best parts of my stay included staying at Waya Lai Lai Eco Haven resort - the cultural immersion and exposure to the local village, getting to know the local staff, the intentionality and hospitality they all showed consistently towards guests, the excellent home cooked food and fun activities. I would go back in a heartbeat and am planning my next trip back already!Guest review byJamAustralia - 10

Very windy when i stayed which was a bummer but the room and its bathroom was very nice and private. I would highly recommend getting someone to take you to blue lagoon beach across the other side of the island over the hills as it was stunning and a great swimming spot! Near Nanuya Island resort.Guest review byDeclanAustralia - 10

I liked the relaxing vibe of the place, was nice just to chill in the bure or hammock or do activities like kayaking or hiking the trail over the hills, which is a great photo opportunity overlooking other fijian islands.Guest review byDeclanAustralia - 8.0
