In all seriousness, I hadn't stayed here before, or in fact in the area at all. So, it was a very pleasant surprise to find this little gem of a hotel. Easy access to the hotel, right off a main road, but not at all busy and noisy. The staff were so helpful and full of smiles and helped out when my French was somewhat lacking in areas. The rooms were very comfortable and well 'stocked' - as in good sized towels (but always could be a little bigger). I liked that there was a vending machine in the hotel, good range of drinks and snacks. Check in and out times were good, and check in and out process was quick and efficient. We did not use the hotel restaurant as we were busy for one of the nights, and the second night was a Sunday, so they weren't open - but the menu looked great and the actual restaurant was great inside (you walked through it to the breakfast room). The breakfast buffet was good, a decent range of food and drink, good size cups and glasses (not the tiny ones where it is like chugging down a shot of orange juice). We didn't use the swimming pool, but it was outside of the window of the breakfast room. It looked a good size and was clean with clear water.Guest review byAlexiaFrance

The owners Serge and Sara are tremendous hosts, very friendly and helpful. We chose to have dinner which I can highly recommend in terms of quality and value for money. Lovely small rural town centred on the Abbaye.
Lovely small rural town centred on the Abbaye. Town has recently attracted a small Carrefour supermarket which has helped to revitalise the town as a local shopping area. The town centre has all the "local" shops and appears to be thriving again. Perfect position to explore the local countryside. Peaceful and calm with easy access to the larger towns and the major road network. Boussac although on a main road has many back streets full of charming old buildings. A large Chateau overlooks the countryside, and a must see. Eating out, there are a number of choices from the Central Hotels fine restaurant to a number of take aways.
