- From US$81.84 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,765 reviewsSuch a warm and hospitable welcome. The only reason I haven't scored top marks in all categories is that as lovely as our bedroom was, room 104, the outside street light is located right next to the bedroom window and shines onto the bed. No blackout curtains. However I have brought this to the attention of the staff so maybe they will install a black out blind behind the curtains or disable the street light! The breakfast was amazing, such a huge choice. I can't wait to stay there again but will give this particular bedroom a miss.Guest review byDominieFrance
- From US$130.95 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 903 reviewsThe view from the room was absolutely stunning, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and efficient, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The bedroom was spacious with a large, comfortable bed and incredibly soft bedding, ensuring a great night's sleep. The soundproofing was excellent, and the heating worked perfectly, keeping us cozy throughout our stay. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed for a few days, and the thoughtful inclusion of coffee pods was a lovely touch.Guest review byOudimilIreland
- From US$191.51 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 267 reviewsIt's a quiet, relaxing atmosphere, even around the pool area. Breakfast, lunch & dinner possibilities. Large parking, small but cozy spa area. The rooms are nicely decorated, clean and have comfortable beds, powerful air-co and a small terrace. Little noise from other rooms or corridors. Extra kudos for the handy refrigerator, which cools drinks quickly but makes no noise at all (excellent brand choice). Very friendly staff, nothing is too much for them.Guest review byJoostBelgium

First visit. Easy journey by train from Carcassonne.
First visit. Easy journey by train from Carcassonne. Everything seems to be in walking distance , mainly on the flat. Great historical value, exceptionally well presented. Used the littletourist train. Ate at / can recommend, l'Accent, the top of Norman Fosters 'place', our name and La Piazzetta nr the Cathedral PS You have made an assumption re 'young couple'.Guest review byRichardFrance - 6.0
The good: Flamingos! Miles of beaches.
The good: Flamingos! Miles of beaches. Great places to go walking. Amigoland, though expensive, is fun for kids of all ages - even those in their forties. You can rent motorboats and jetskis in town. For connections, its not far from Montpellier or Marseille. The bad: Restaurants are poor in LGdR. From French to Italian to Asian they all disappointed. Mosquitoes are tenacious all around this area due to miles and miles of open shallow water. Personal verdict: go somewhere else instead.Guest review byMark & KikiIreland - 10.0

We liked the very harmonious mix of ancient history and modern attractions. The map provided by the tourist office with 40 interesting points of interest marked for you to wander in your own time very useful. We had drinks in many places but ate in La Vigourie and IX Louis only. Both delicious and great value. Even though one of us has a few mobility problems walking around in short bursts worked fine; the town is small enough. Sunday market was excellent for end of season summer dresses, roast chickens and figs! Walking the ramparts (in flat shoes) is probably a must, educational animations along the way are well done with sub-titles. A week is a good stay length, take a short train ride to the sea-side ports, architectural surprises like La Grande Motte and out into the Camargue flats.Guest review bySandraFrance - 10.0

The beauty of this place is breathtaking, the way it is nestled in between other small villages, and the markets on Wednesdays and Saturdays are not to be missed. I was especially touched by the friendliness of everybody I met, such kind people!Guest review byNicolaFrance - 10.0
Villeneuve-lès-Avignon is a beautiful place near Avignon.
Villeneuve-lès-Avignon is a beautiful place near Avignon. The place has the perfect balance of peace and activity. There is a food fair on Thursdays, an antiques fair on Saturdays and a truck festival on Monday evenings. We visited them all and were delighted. The place has a beautiful castle and gardens that we visited - very beautiful.Guest review byNikolaCroatia - 4.0

There is really nothing special about Ales. There are much more scenic and historically interesting cities in this area. I stayed for two nights in order to visit the wine country south of the city. I think next time I'll stay in Arles instead.Guest review bystefenUnited States - 8.0

We planned our stay in Anduze to enjoy the local steam train trip from Anduze to Saint Jean du Gard. Our hosts Sara and Jonathon proved to be wonderful. The conversation (in English) flowed and many stories were enjoyed. A recommended local restaurant for dinner was enjoyed plus breakfast on the terrace back at our accommodation. We planned two nights but due to car issues, only managed one.Guest review byRobJuddAustralia - 10.0

A wonderful little town with a good range of shops and places to eat. The old part of the town was so beautiful and wandering around the quiet streets was magical. It was great to be so close to the river, where you can swim and relax, as well as the famous Pont du Gard, which we walked to many times during our stay.Guest review byBeckyUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Love the wide avenues, the incredible Roman sites and museum. Paradoxically I wasn't able to extend my stay because of the Feria - a giant oarty involvingvthe whole city and booking out all but the most expensive rooms. Regrettably the arena was closed on the lastv2 days I was there because of the Feria.🥲Guest review byMacleodAustralia - 6.0

The property was a little tired, Im glad I took my own bedding and towels. I am used to staying in 5 star hotels and whilst I knew this was far from 5 stars, I was disappointed to find plastic sheets on the beds. It so reminded me of an out dated Butlins holiday camp roomGuest review byMarionUnited Kingdom
