- From US$136.64 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.9Good - What previous guests thought, 2,406 reviewsThey have comfortable family rooms with a kitchenette ( and with a door between bedrooms, so you can expect some privacy) and excellent SPA complex. Fair price, tasty breakfast and dinner. We come to this hotel not the first time, because it offers really good price with thermal SPA included, and they improve rooms by making some renovations. Very clean. There is a big free of charge parking in a few minutes walking distance, Cauterets town by itself is charming and cozy. There is a supermarket in a few minutes, bistro with pizza and a market with some food made-to-go, so You have plenty of options. The funicular is also very close to the hotel, so there is always a choice of activities. What I really love is their SPA, it is not that big, but very cozy and well equipped. They also have good quality toiletries in their SPA.Guest review byJevgenijsLatvia

He gave us our rooms and explained all about the city and nearby highlights. The rooms were clean and smell amazing. Spacious, modern bathrooms and very comfortable beds. We had a small balcony with a beautiful view. Breakfast is delicious, plenty of food to choose from. Location is perfect, 10 minute walk from the Grotte, 2 minutes away from airport shuttle bus stop, close to restaurants and cafes. We will surely be back!Guest review byAnaliseMalta
- From US$277.92 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 131 reviewsWe spent one night at this hotel and both found it was one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in large or small anywhere in the world. Truly exceptional. The service is top class. The restaurant was friendly and served excellent food. The room was beautifully appointed and completely clean. The staff were both efficient and friendly and found out within minutes whether the nearby road over the Col de Tourmalet was open when we had failed to find the information ourselves.Guest review byGarethFrance

It’s such a cute little place and every detail is perfect. The owners are really kind. We also liked the spa area. The location is perfect for hiking. We were there in September. There is also a Supermarkt next to the chalets.Guest review byIsabellGermany
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 115 reviewsExcellent location in centre of town with free ski bus stop opposite the hotel entrance. Breakfasts were excellent as where the two evening meals we had in the hotel restaurant. We would especially recommend the Fondue/Raclette. Hotel and rooms were kept spotlessly clean. Very friendly and helpful staff.Guest review byLesUnited Kingdom

Religious touristy to the max. But, honestly- isn’t that why you go there? Quaint French town, easily walkable. Many fine eating places: particularly recommend the Asian/Filipino Restaurant. Need taxi for airport/train.Guest review bySteven D. HobbsUnited States - 10.0

I have visited Tarbes 3 times , this was in order to participate in the annual Tango Festival, this takes place during August. Whilst Tarbes is a pleasant enough town, I'm not sure that I would want to spend too much time there otherwise.Guest review byJamesUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Amazing place to base yourself for time in the Pyrenees.
Amazing place to base yourself for time in the Pyrenees. We stayed for a week and could have stayed a few more days. Tons of hikes, waterfalls, water activities, and climbing within an hour's drive (but many places are much closer than that). My one piece of advice would be to make dinner reservations ahead of time or order your takeout early because most places fill up really fast and even the pizza places stopped taking orders early in the evening because they filled up so quickly! It's a great place though, and we really enjoyed our time there.Guest review byLeslieFrance - 10.0

I love this village, very well situated between Pic du Midi, Gavarnie, and Pont d'Espagne directions. It has everything you need as a tourist: supermarkets and specialty stores (wine, cheese, etc), restaurants, a small market, a tourist office, parks, and several walking trails around the valley (ask for a map in the tourist office), a spa center... And it has beautiful architecture. Also a center for bike tourism and ski/snowboarding. During summer an animal center is open for families.Guest review byAlinaPortugal - 10.0

This little ski town truly has gorgeous views and is in a very beautiful natural setting. I wish we had been able to stay for more than just one night, but I’m glad we got a chance to go! Getting around is easy on foot. The town has lots of cafés and little shops. It also has a great outdoor gear store and a large shoe shop! When we were there a concert was being played and it was lovely to hear it from the outside of the structure where it was being played. It gave a very nice cozy feel to the experience.Guest review byAnneUnited States - 10.0

There is a great food market on Saturday, I wish I could have stayed in the area for longer to justify buying more local goods from the artisans ( cheeses, meats, breads etc. Many local walks up into the hills around the town start from the centre , just make sure you bring your walking boots. Even the relatively short walk up to the Virgin Mary is worth it. And of course a dip in the thermal spa/ public baths is well worth it.Guest review byKenUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Argeles-Gazost is a good size town with a range of restaurants and shops plus a big market on Tuesdays (food & other goods). Away from the old town there are supermarkets and other shops. Our favourite place to eat dinner was Cafe-Hotel Les Fleurs. The local bakeries were all good but Patisserie Vignau Jean had the most impressive choice of cakes and tarts. Another find was the microbrewery "La brasserie du pays des gaves" who offer charcuterie boards alongside a range of beers. We made use of the local busses to access walks near Gavernie (seasonal service) and Cauterets for Lac de Gaube & Pont d'Espagna. On a future visit would love to explore the valley by bike along the greenway.Guest review byHeikeUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Lourdes is a sanctuary that people go mainly to worship and pray. We had dinner and breakfasts at Hotel Alba and lunch from a near by bistro or restaurant. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay with minimum distractions.Guest review byGayatriCanada - 10.0

Tarbes is a wonderful small city, with many nice hotels, just not the one we stayed in. Brasserie des Halles does a brilliant lunch. L’Arsenal has many lively bars and activities. The city has much culture and is reknowned fir its sport including rugby and especially fencing at Amicale Tarbes Escrime. Close to Lourdes, the Pyrenees and with easy access via Tarbes airport.Guest review byPeterFrance - 10.0

Cauterets is lovely town in the middle of the Pyrenees with amazing views of the mountains. A good base if you like hiking or cycling. It has a market with lots of yummy food, bakeries, restaurants and other shops. There are quite a few hotels and lots of apartments, so a great summer destination.Guest review byjannaUnited Kingdom
