We’ve never stayed at a hotel and felt so eager to return. We were treated like family and had a truly enjoyable stay. Our room was spotless, quiet, and provided a beautiful view of the river. The breakfast was outstanding—full of variety and perfectly prepared. The best we’d had our entire journey! The hosts went above and beyond, and nothing was too much trouble. Staff very helpful and attentive especially Lina who arranged for a massage , interpreted my questions , manage reservations for local dinner options and a strong professional in her capacity. The restaurant is excellent, and worth a trip itself. and the location is in the center of the village which provides opportunities to travel to many local villages.

    Everything was wonderful! It is the perfect location with a view of Saint-Cirq-Lapopie. We had a delicious breakfast both mornings on the terrace. There was a restaurant for dinner next door. This area of the Lot Valley has a variety of activities nearby--walking through the Saint-Cirq-Lapopie village, hiking along the river, the Pech Merle caves. We are so glad we stayed here. A hidden gem!

    Toulouse cafe culture is wonderful.

    Toulouse cafe culture is wonderful. The architecture is also stunning. The old town streets and alleys are a joy to walk in, as is the Garonne riverside. We loved eating in the restaurants in Place Saint-George and the Place du Capitole. The basilica and the Couvent des Jacobins are stunning architecture and history. Everything in the old town is easy walking distance, mainly on the level. The train station is also walking distance for trips out of town, for example Carcassonne.

    Lourdes is a sanctuary that people go mainly to worship and pray. We had dinner and breakfasts at Hotel Alba and lunch from a near by bistro or restaurant. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay with minimum distractions.

    The hotel is set off a road and once you enter, it is quiet...

    The hotel is set off a road and once you enter, it is quiet and tranquil. The staff are very discreet and the service is excellent. We had room 16 which had a private balcony overlooking the river Tarn. The room was large, very comfortable and the view was beautiful. The Air Conditioning was weak but we opened the door and the balcony and the through draft cooled the room in the evenings. As we were having a heat wave, the cool breeze in the evenings lasting through to the morning was delightful. The meals are delicious and the service again is excellent. Breakfast is equally good with excellent coffee. It should be noted that we have an electric car and the staff went out of the way to ensure we could charge it.

    Montauban is a very attractive town with its own character and atmosphere. It is easy to walk around. The Ingres/Bourdelle Museum is superb - especially the room with the Ingres drawings. A lovely place for a stay.

    This was our third visit to Millau and we will return to the area in future. There is a lot to see and do and some very good, reasonably priced, restaurants. We enjoyed walking along the well kept river bank, visiting the museum and the Cité de Pierres.

    This town is a gem - the real France and away from the tourist beat. Its cathedral is unique and exceptionally old. A little French is a help here. Very good and inexpensive restaurants. Take the Little tour train for a great orientation.

    I have visited Tarbes 3 times , this was in order to participate in the annual Tango Festival, this takes place during August. Whilst Tarbes is a pleasant enough town, I'm not sure that I would want to spend too much time there otherwise.
