We received a warm welcome on arrival, and the room was large, immaculately clean and comfortable with tea making facilities and. fridge in the room. Breakfast was freshly prepared and delicious. The receptionist on duty directed us to the local shopping area immediately around the corner where there are a number of good restaurants. There are also plenty of parking spaces on the property. We found that the staff had lots of good recommendations about the area.

Very nice decor of the room. I personally found the bed and bed linens to be extremely comfortable. Nice bathroom with good shower. Location is very convenient as it’s in town and close to restaurants and supermarkets. There is a bar downstairs, but it closes around 11pm on weekdays and after that everything is quiet. Self-check in is easy and the owner is easy to reach if there are questions or problems.

I feel in the full day I spent there I saw all I wanted to of the city - I walked the 2 miles of the city walls, spent time in the Cathedral, went on a river boat trip, marvelled at the architecture and ate at a wonderful Turkish restaurant in the evening. Friendly, compact town, easy to get round on foot - quite flat, so ok for all abilities (though the city walls involves steps in places)

The Dog and Partridge is near to the hotel. Bonus. External appearance of Paddington Hotel could be so much improved by some simple gardening. Some easy jet-washing would improve the external walls and general appearance. My stay was a mere 'ok'. I just happened to be in Warrington that night. Customer service was adequate, but below average. My room was functional and everything worked. It gets an 'OK' from me, but I wouldn't take my better half there for all the tea in China!

I went to Crewe to see the local area. I visited Nantwich and Sandbach. Nantwich is a lovely small town, and Sandbach is a bit bigger, both lovely to visit. The Market in Nantwich is lovely to visit, and there are a couple of National Trust places we didn't have enough time to visit, but we will do next time.

There is quite a range of shops along the high street; the surrounding houses and streets are leafy and pleasant. I found a cafe for coffee / cake / light lunch and the staff were extremely pleasant, helpful and friendly. There is quite a lot of traffic which drives through. There are great activities though as I was visiting family I did not wish to pursue them - there seem to be bowls [on a crown green - not ten pin], golf, plenty of Churches. Quarry Bank Mill [NT] is close by.

The venue is amazing. The glass venue at the front of hotel is an eye catching attraction. The actual dining area is spacious with very comfortable seating. The bar staff are very polite and accommodating. I sat relaxing in the bar whilst my husband had a little shut eye, as he had driven most of the way from East Sussex.

Runcorn is beautiful and we came to visit relatives. But our stay at the hotel wasn’t worth it. It was old and needs overall revamping. Reception staff was nice but the room was so tiny with AC not working and bed was so uncomfortable. Wouldn’t stay at this property again.

Steeped in history and absolutely lovely friendly locals👍. Came to the area for a friend’s wedding which was at the town hall, and as self catering didn’t really eat out much as only stayed a few days. Would love to come back and use as a base for more exploring of the area.
