- From US$143.39 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 2,125 reviewsExcellent stay at the The Boathouse Inn. We stayed one night in a very comfy, clean and quiet double room with a private bathroom. We came by car and it's literally 5 minutes away from the Old Town, so location wise it was really convenient. We could eat in the restaurant for a reasonable price. Overall it was a great experience and I recommend it to everyone who wants a quiet place and not too far away from town.Guest review byAlan WirtzArgentina

I’d been wanting to stay at Shrigley for years and my stay exceeded my expectations. The room with the view overlooking the front was amazing and I particularly enjoyed and appreciated the original features and history of the building it has a real Downton Abbey feel to it. Chester is well worth a visit there is so much to see and do. Although we were only there overnight we went into the centre and went into the shopping area and also had something to eat there as well. We had a lovely meal in The Faulkner Pub Bar & Restaurant lovely food and a great atmosphere. We stayed just a 15 minute walk from the centre and it was easy to stroll in without using the car which is great,Guest review byDerekUnited Kingdom - 2.0

I went to Crewe to see the local area.
I went to Crewe to see the local area. I visited Nantwich and Sandbach. Nantwich is a lovely small town, and Sandbach is a bit bigger, both lovely to visit. The Market in Nantwich is lovely to visit, and there are a couple of National Trust places we didn't have enough time to visit, but we will do next time.Guest review byTessUnited Kingdom - 10.0

A very convenient location for visiting some great National Trust properties which we had never visited (Dunham Massey, Tatton, Lyme). We enjoyed Knutsford also, eating in the hotel and a variety of restaurants in the town.Guest review byPeterUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Wilmslow is a perfect place to visit Quarry Bank Mill and Alderley Edge. Alderely Edge has great views of the Cheshire Plain and folklore around the wizard, Merlin. both are within walking distance of Wilmslow. Many good pubs and restaurants, there is a local cinema and leisure centre, plus a park called the Carrs with its own beach.Guest review byElisabethUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Runcorn is beautiful and we came to visit relatives.
Runcorn is beautiful and we came to visit relatives. But our stay at the hotel wasn’t worth it. It was old and needs overall revamping. Reception staff was nice but the room was so tiny with AC not working and bed was so uncomfortable. Wouldn’t stay at this property again.Guest review byviji - 10.0
The venue is amazing.
The venue is amazing. The glass venue at the front of hotel is an eye catching attraction. The actual dining area is spacious with very comfortable seating. The bar staff are very polite and accommodating. I sat relaxing in the bar whilst my husband had a little shut eye, as he had driven most of the way from East Sussex.Guest review byrosellenUnited Kingdom - 6.0
The staff tried to please .
The staff tried to please . My sister who had travelled from Australia wasn’t allowed to check in early despite the room being available without paying 15.00 Drinks pricey and others put on my account Very noisy and several guests complained overnight with noise till gone 2am The hotel itself is good food fine but limited choice re salads and lighter menu optionsGuest review byjudithUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Lighting in room was poor.
Lighting in room was poor. Not much room between sink and bath and almost fell backwards into the bath. Slightly unpleasant old cigarette smell in ground floor areas but not in the restaurant or bedroom. Comfortable bed and bedroom. Food in restaurant was good. Dont bother having porridge for breakfast as it wasnt cooked long enough. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great ambiance.Guest review byAnonymous
