- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.7Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 122 reviewsI was thoroughly impressed with my stay at the Mariners Hotel in Seaton. The location is unbeatable – directly on the seafront with stunning views over Lyme Bay. It’s perfect for coastal walks or simply relaxing and watching the waves. The rooms are modern, spotlessly clean, and well-equipped. I especially appreciated the peaceful atmosphere, the high-quality beds, and the daily housekeeping. The Wi-Fi was reliable, and thoughtful touches like a welcome tray with tea and coffee made a difference. Breakfast exceeded expectations – freshly cooked, with a good variety, and all dietary needs were accommodated without any fuss. The evening bistro meals were of excellent quality, although it’s worth noting that dinner isn’t served every night – so plan ahead. The hosts, Lisa and Dean, were genuinely friendly and attentive. No artificial hospitality – just honest, down-to-earth care for their guests. All in all, this is a quiet, well-maintained place with a personal touch and great attention to detail. If you’re looking to avoid the typical tourist crowds but still want comfort and quality, Mariners is a top choice.Guest review byCarstenGermany
- From US$129.74 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 1,000 reviewsWe stayed in the family room at it was a great size for 4 people & a baby. Shower was good. Tea and coffee facilities. Really comfy bed. Very clean. Netflix. We had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant and it was delicious. The pool was fantastic, we all loved a daily swim. We had bad weather and couldn’t use the outdoor facilities but the playground and mini golf looked really good too. We were allowed to use them on the day we checked out which was great. The staff were so friendly. Couldn’t fault their service. Great location. We walked into Croyde and looked around the shops and had lunch. Beach is a short walk as well. We will definitely stay again ❤️Guest review byNicolaGermany

Have visited Exeter a few times now due to son at Uni. This time ate aten at Pizza Express opposite the catherdal but service is very slow even in quiet times. Was shocked that a glass of wine was £10. There are lots of restaurants to choose nearby.Guest review byRachelUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The local independent shops are great.
The local independent shops are great. There are quite a few local attractions like the castle, and boat trips. Suitable for both families with children and adults. There is excellent bus , boat and steam train transport to other places. We only used the car one day. There is a wide variety of restaurants and take aways for all budgets. There is a Marks &Spencers food store and a Coop in the town , and also a Sainsburys on the road in if you want to self cater. The waterside is very well maintained has plenty of seating and lots of planting to make it look attractive.Guest review byJulieUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Salcombe is very nice, busy, should have stayed in a hotel, Plenty of nice shops, bought a lot of items to take home, car parks are very busy and quite a distance from the town centre even in September, streets very narrow, I think If you own a boat its fantastic, unfortunately we don't.Guest review byAnonymousUnited Kingdom - 10.0
A beautiful place away from the City hustle.
A beautiful place away from the City hustle. The Caravan stay for awesome and my parents and my family loved it. The caravan booked was for 7 people including 2 kids, which had 3 bedroom and 1 toilet and one toilet and bathroom attached. We booked for 3 nights, and on the second day we decided to check if we could extend the stay for another 3 nights, but it was a shame that caravan was booked and we could not extend our stay. Our car was parked in front of the Caravan we stayed. The nearby food joints was about ~10 to 15 mins walk from the location "Seafield Holiday Park". "Affinity Devon Outlet Shopping" was about 10 mins drive from the location we stayed. I would surely recommend to visit/stay in this place.Guest review byAlexUnited Kingdom
