Lovely stay! Such a lovely room and the bathroom was the cleanest I've ever seen in a hotel! The location is perfect and we had both the breakfast and dinner and the food was stunning! The best was so comfortable and quiet even though it's right in the action. An added bonus was that there is plenty of storage with large window sills in both the bedroom and the bathroom. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be staying again.

Very attractive town, full of Regency terraces (Bath's younger brother). Some excellent restaurants and pubs. But double check before you visit Sudeley Castle - went all the way to Winchcombe on the bus only to find the Castle closed without any notice! But Winchcombe itself is a pretty village.

We stayed in a central inn, full of character with enthusiastic young staff. Very well placed for traffic free walking to Guildhall, Cathedral and Docks. Interesting mix of shops, cafes etc. We attended a Guildhall event one evening and a Cathedral event another and ran out of time for a return to the Docks. We plan to return to see Gloucester in the Spring.

Stroud is a town with plenty of character. There are many independent shops and alternative lifestyles are welcome. There are many coffee shops and restaurants. We especially enjoyed The Curio restaurant, King St, Woodruffs coffee shop and Rajat Indian restaurant. We walked along the canal to Stroud Brewery which has a good bar and restaurant. That was an easy walk. We walked up Swifts Hill, Slad Valley and had a drink in the Woolpack, not so easy but very enjoyable. This is a must for fans of Laurie Lee's books.

A nice central town that is a good place to stay for when you are out exploring the cotsworlds. There's plenty of places to eat, cafes, restaurants and pubs. There is free parking on the front of the shops, but you will have to get there early, to secure a spot. There is also a pay and display car park, and the train station car park is also available. There is a wide variety of shops such as charity shop, a pharmacy, a couple of supermarkets and other shops.

we loved the many Tudor buildings, not least our hotel, the Tudor House; also the splendid church where we attended evensong, which was of a high standard. it was sad to sense that this lovely little town does not seem very prosperous. it was a good location from which to branch out and see other places - Worcester and Gloucester cathedrals, Berkeley Castle etc.
