The location was absolutely perfect — right in the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town. Almost everything I wanted to explore was within a 15–20 minute walk, which made my stay super convenient. The surrounding vibe was lively yet charming, with historic streets and attractions all around. I really appreciated how easy it was to get around without needing transport.

Very nice ship with incredible attention to detail in the rooms. A must-see. As good as the Britannia. The location is excellent, with the trams being very close. Leave your car at the ship and ride the tram to Edinburgh Castle.

Room 108 (Velvet Cake) I absolutely loved my stay at BrewDog DogHouse Edinburgh! It’s unlike any other hotel I’ve ever stayed at. From the moment I arrived, I could tell this was going to be a different experience. The hotel has so many unique touches that make it stand out, like free pick & mix sweets and the fact that they offer both still and sparkling water for free - such a treat to have sparkling water available! There’s also Grind coffee available in The Atrium, but the coffee machine decides when it wants to work! There’s also plenty of games in The Atrium to keep you entertained. The room itself was packed with cool features. There was a vinyl player, a beer fridge, a guitar, and a mini bar stocked with plenty of snacks and drinks. It felt like a home away from home, but with an awesome BrewDog vibe. The staff were incredibly friendly and always greeted us with a smile, which made us feel very welcome. The biggest highlight, though, was the fact that you’re staying right at a BrewDog, and you can even get room service. The 24/7 hotdogs were surprisingly delicious and definitely had no right being so tasty at that hour! Thank you for also keeping the pins & postcard topped up. As someone who is purposely visiting BrewDog’s to get the BrewDog Visa stamped, I really appreciate it when pins & postcards are topped up. Overall, this hotel offers an experience that’s fun, unique, and packed with great little details. I’ll definitely be staying here again next time I’m in Edinburgh! Highly recommend it!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay. Super friendly staff. Our room (Cozy room) was wonderful, comprising an extremely comfortable bed, a brilliant shower, and a well-laid-out room. The breakfast choice was superb and the freshly made options (that we chose) were super tasty. A lovely view from the restaurant (to the north) across the city added to a lovely breakfast experience. We did not want to leave. The whole experience was so good we are returning for another stay.

Livingston is a quaint, calm neighbourhood. Although not easy to access an Uber, there are bus stops if you walk a few minutes, and Livingston North train station is of course a stop for the different rail services. We walked for about 15-20 mins to get to a station. Save the number of taxi operators ahead of your trip, if you're travelling with lots of luggage and want convenient drop offs and pick ups from/to your space in Livingston.

Queensferry is a lovely town, but suffers as all have from shops being turned in to hairdressers and charity shops. Could do with a little bit of care and attention to some of the lovely old buildings which are looking a bit stressed.

The harbour is charming, and seeing the difference between high and low tide is remarkable. There is a lot of traffic on the high street but the shops are charming and mostly seem to be independent. Locally there is a great brewery, lovely beach and leisure centre with decent pool.

While I found the room itself comfortable and well-presented, unfortunately, the overall experience was significantly impacted by a series of distressing events. During the night, there were repeated electricity outages which triggered alarms multiple times. This culminated in the arrival of firefighters at my room—an unexpected and unsettling experience. To add to the concern, there was no staff present at the reception during this time, which left me feeling quite unsafe and unsupported. To date, I have not received any form of apology, explanation, or gesture of goodwill from your team. I believe a situation like this warrants not only a sincere apology but also a degree of accountability and customer care, especially considering the level of disruption and concern caused.

Lovely weather, so walked round the loch (lake) to Linlithgow Peel (Park). Visited the Palace, - birthplace of Mary, Queen of Scots, Church & Museum, wonderful. Sampled great coffees, homemade lunches & baking in the several small independent cafes. Took train to Edinburgh and Glasgow, and car to Stirling. So easy and practical.

North Berwick is an adorable seaside town with beautiful scenic views and an amazing golf course. We enjoyed the quaint shops and restaurants as well as hiking the law. Getting around was so simple. We walked everywhere and found it so easy to go back and forth to our accommodations. One word of caution, most places stop serving dinner by 8:00pm. Lovely quiet resort close to amenities with an excellent bus service. Went into Edinburgh every day and saw lots of sites such as the castle / dungeons/ Mary Kings close/ Obscura observatory and a witchy museum. We ate on site or in Edinburgh. All in all we had a fantastic time and made loads of memories.
