We stayed in Hounslow area for one primary reason, our hotel was close to the Hounslow Central Tube Station which was close to Heathrow airport for our departing flight and we could take a short tube ride to The Kew Gardens the day before we left. The area of Hounslow Central has a significant immigrate population. It was quiet and safe enough but was different than much of England.Guest review byCrow CamperUnited States - 10.0

Went for the Harry Potter studio tour. Did not disappoint at all! If you go it is definitely a full day, we weren’t expecting for it to be so good or for us to be there that long. We were there for over 5 hours and did not once get bored!Guest review byChelseaUnited Kingdom - 2.0
Horrible stay with a double bed in a very small room.
Horrible stay with a double bed in a very small room. Whole room was cluttered with furniture. Too small for a double bed. Ideal for a small single bed. Disastress two nights. We will not consider this hotel again and will not reccomend unfortunately.Guest review byLakshmanUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Richmond is a delightful little town on the Thames.
Richmond is a delightful little town on the Thames. There is easy access to the river and it's an ideal walking artery. The ancient bridge there means you have easy access to both sides of the river. It's a good base for London and surrounding areas. The public transport by train and bus is extensive. There are two theatres. The Orange Tree is remarkable with proper plays, but it is quickly booked up. There is an Art Deco cinema. It has plenty of restaurants and cafes. Some good ones are near the cinema, going up to Peterham. There are plenty of middle of the range chain shops, but on the side streets ( leading to the Green) there are interesting independents.Guest review byGawperUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Brentford has been upgraded beyond recognition in the last...
Brentford has been upgraded beyond recognition in the last 10 years and especially in the last 5 years. It has become one of the very beautiful and upmarket locations along the River Thames and opposite the Royal Botanic Gardens of Kew - a world heritage site - and in the immediate proximity to famous Richmond and its historic palaces and cultural sites, picturesque town centre and equally famous RIchmond Park. Bearing in mind that this is less then half an hour away from the very centre of London, it is a really great location for a holiday, even a city-escape and offers more famous landscapes, River and green walks than probably any other borough in London. Yet it is much more tranquil than any place closer to London with a host of nice new restaurants and cafes.Guest review byKarinUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I was born in Kingston and lived there for a large piece of my life. I like coming to Kingston as I can catch up with friends and family. Love the restaurants along the Thames tow path and the vast array of shops. London being a stones throw away by train.Guest review bySamiUnited Kingdom - 6.0
I recently stayed at Heatherbank Guest House.
I recently stayed at Heatherbank Guest House. The location is relatively convenient for Stansted Airport – about an hour by car transfer – and the staff were friendly enough. As my room did not have a microwave, they kindly allowed me to use the kitchen one. The room and bathroom were clean, with fresh towels provided daily, which I appreciated. However, one major issue left me quite frustrated. On the morning of my departure, I had an early flight at 7 am and needed to wake up at 3 am. To my surprise, the electricity (or main lighting) in my room and bathroom was completely off. I had to shower using my phone’s flashlight. Thankfully, I had finished packing the night before, as doing so in pitch darkness would have been impossible. I checked, and it wasn’t just my room – the small room between my entrance and the main hallway also had no power. Only the main hallway lights were on, which was a relief, as otherwise carrying two heavy suitcases downstairs would have been extremely unsafe. This situation made me think: what if a guest were ill and needed the bathroom at night, a breastfeeding mother needing light, or someone returning late in the evening? I had noticed the generator (or main power) going on and off during the two previous nights as well, with a short power surge to the mini fridge, which was quite noisy. This is an important matter that should be communicated to guests and fixed promptly. While the cleanliness and some of the staff’s helpfulness were positives, this power outage experience left me feeling stressed and disappointed.Guest review byJuliaUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Followed the Walking Trail which led us to The Cathedral and the park, which were lovely with good riverside walks. The Court Room museum was interesting - and the Wednesday market was good. Great Italian restaurant just opposite the hotel.Guest review bypaulUnited Kingdom
