- From US$230.34 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.0Very good - What previous guests thought, 328 reviewsYoung couple visiting Cotswolds for the first time . Absolutely outstanding hotel grounds! We could not believe the size of the place. We were delighted with the service of the staff they all worked hard , were attentive and the place was beautifully decorated and clean . Room was clean , spacious and cosy . Main house we really enjoyed exploring particularly the reception and billiard room! The spa was excellent with immaculate changing rooms . We went at a quiet time so had full use of the jacuzzis. Just what you need on a cold dry night. Dressing gowns in the rooms which were perfect if you took a chilly walk there. The food was delicious and plenty of options. We opted to have 3 courses at the travelling duke for 2 nights for only £25pp including steak ! We hope we can come back for a meal at the Brassiere as this was booked up every night. The value for the location, room, food, spa and hotel entertainment services was excellent. Didn’t use the golf course but it was appealing. Lots of activities to do too when you are there. The location was perfect and only a short drive to Chipping Norton and into other towns. Surprised it didn’t attract a younger crowd but we can’t wait to come back!Guest review byemmaUnited Kingdom
- From US$237.29 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.7Good - What previous guests thought, 1,741 reviewsVery classic English breakfast with great quality. Served hot and refilled promptly. It's worth mentioning the gym in particular, which is very professional. There is an aerobic area upstairs in the spa center, and next to the parking lot, there is a separate area (with both indoor and outdoor sections, and a natural lake where you can swim). Driving to the outlets is also very convenient. I feel like you could easily stay at the hotel for a few days, shop, play some sports, work out, and enjoy a spa treatment.Guest review byLuna SunnyChina
- From US$332.99 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 3,077 reviewsThe hotel is wonderful. The magic begins right after you check in, when you are handed the keys to the room. But this is a surprise. Must see for yourself. The atmosphere in the hotel is in the style of old England, rich in tradition and architecture. Luxurious interiors are preserved and complemented with modern materials in the style of the 1800s. The staff is very friendly and attentive.Guest review byIRINACyprus
- From US$133.92 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.5Good - What previous guests thought, 1,150 reviewsThe Swan is an historical old inn with so much atmosphere! It is a beautiful old characterful building and we were lucky enough to stay in the room where Churchill slept. Loved how updated the bathrooms were, without spoiling the ambience of the old country inn.Guest review byMelanieCanada

What a fascinating, historical town! There is so much to see and so much to learn about its history. Our guided tour of the colleges of the university was invaluable to our understanding of Oxford’s past and present importance.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

A nice little town which we visited for social reasons. Hit on market day which added to the atmosphere. Other than that we did not spend a lot of time there but would like to investigate further should there be a next time.Guest review byBarryUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Chipping Norton is a lovely town with great Pubs and cafe's and shops. It is in an ideal location to travel to many lovely towns and villages and has nice walks all around. We had Sunday Dinner at The Fox which was gorgeous. The yorkie was huge, 4 slices of meat and plenty of veg. We had a celiac and they were very knowledgeable and had a good choice of gluten free. The staff were brilliant. Also visited The chequers and the food, staff and choice again was brilliant.Guest review byamandaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Delightful old town with lots of nooks and crannies to explore. Lovely old buildings, especially the almshouses and the church. Friendly people. Good eating places. Smashed avocado at The Pablo Lounge is excellent! Good location for catching a bus into Oxford or for exploring the area generally. Walks along river delightful.Guest review byPamelaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Banbury is a lovely town, old enough to have a lot of character, large enough to have an excellent range of facilities. We were fortunate to be there when there was an excellent festival down by the canal (and the best value cheese we've ever had). St Mary's Church is beautiful and well worth a visit (and a donation - these places are special but expensive to maintain). We look forward to future visits.Guest review byGrantUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Glad we could walk around town, traffic very heavy and even gridlock one day, burst main I believe. Lovely little market on Thursday morning. Loved it, will go back to book festival next year, amazing number of events/authors.Guest review byjaneUnited Kingdom - 8.0

An attractive small town, right next door to Blenheim Palace and near to Oxford: an excellent base for exploring the area more generally. The town has lots of places to eat and drink, and some useful shops, including a co-op in the centre of town. Prices aren't cheap, but quality is good. Parking can be a bit of a problem at busy periods, but we managed OK.Guest review byGeoffreyUnited Kingdom - 10.0

One of the strong suits of Witney: despite being a smaller town, it punches above in food & drink variety. Whether you want pub classics, international cuisine, cafés or something more boutique, there’s a good mix.Guest review byKelperCarolFalkland Islands (Malvinas) - 10.0

Good place to shop. We went on market day it had excellent fruit and veg stall there. Great fresh produce, very reasonably priced. Walks along the Thames path. Lovely pub on river playing live music. Waitrose and other good shops.Guest review byJULIEUnited Kingdom
